In PAF CFTs are only installed with Block 52s (C & D)

Check ride is a "Familiarization sortie" as he is going to fly as GIBS in 23rd march parade too, he has never flown in a JF-17 before.

A "check ride" is a term used when transition students or returning pilots come back to a jet they haven't flown in a while and they need to re-qualify themselves to flying status.

A "FAM" sortie is where in this case a passenger is or will be flown in the backseat of an aircraft. Regardless he has never led the flypast (never re-qualified to fly a high performance aircraft solo during his term as air chief), it was the Viper driver in the front seat who always did.
