CJ-10A, air launched 2000 km range rocket powered cruise missile. CJ-10 (missile) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

H-6 carries two missiles which are similar to US AGM-86 or Russian Kh-55. Thats not very impressive.

The F-16 carried conformal fuel tanks, which reduces payload and maneuverability.
There were no conformal tanks in 1981 and they dont really affect the meaneuverability.

I'm talking about NATURAL range - filled tank, nothing more. The natural range is 550 km.

General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In contrast, the natural range of the Su-27 is 3500 km.

Sukhoi Su-27 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
3500 km is ferry range of Su-27.
Ferry range of F-16 is 2,002 miles or 3221 km.

The serious advantage of F-16 is much lower RCS.

CJ-10 is a very good cruise missile compareable to the Tamahawk, however, just like the Tamahawk it is large.

You are right, most fighters can not carry that missile include J-10A/B, even J-11 will have a hard time.

If you are considering KSA's 72 Typhoons might as well consider India's 272 Su-30MKI instead of 146 or 160 MKI's, 126 Rafale's and 40+ Tejas Mk.I's as well.Also around 100 J-11B's and 150 J-10B's for China, 48 Su-35S's and 48 Su-30SM's for Russia.

^Dear, it isn't yet clear that PLAAF is actually going to buy SU-35s.

The H-6K can carry up to 6 missiles. It is stated directly on the page. China rarely releases official public photos of planes.

RCS doesn't matter when you carry external weapons. A clean F-16 is no threat. F-16 doesn't launch all its weapons at once. If it carries weapons its the same thing as a Su-27.

Also, Su-27 is comparable to the Rafale in terms of aerodynamics (it can only be better; not worse) and size.

Dassault Rafale - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rafale combat radius is 1800 km. F-16 ferry range is with drop tanks included. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that a one engined small light plane is not going to have anywhere near the range of a large 2 engined plane with the same generation of engines, but the sources are included.

The F-16 is not that good compared to 2 engine planes in terms of range, payload, maximum radar detection distance and potential to upgrade radar (due to nose cone limit).

Thats official data? Huge Russian Tu-95 carries only 6 Kh-55.

RCS matters with external weapons too. Thats why most of the producers today try to reduce RCS even for external carrier aircrafts:

Super Hornet
Rafale
Typhoon
Su-35
J-10B

All these aircrafts carry weapons externally and have RCS reduction measures. F-16C also have radar absorbing materials in their intakes.

Here fery ranges:

F-16 (without CFT) - 3221 km.
Su-27 - 3500 km.
Rafale - 3700 km.

Nose cone of F-16 is bigger than Rafale's.

I think Pakistan should concentrate on R&D. Although if we would have 11+ AEW&Cs along with 7 ECM aircraft then it will be better to protect our country. I am hopeful to see them in near future...

After going through the details myself, I do believe this to be quite accurate but with a few adjustments.

I was bored and decided to estimate airforces strength. I wrote down the list of active aircrafts for each air force and then counted score.

Here is method I used. F-16C I used as base: 1 air-air point/1 air to ground point. For other aircrafts my estimates are follow:

F-16C = 1/1
F-16A = 0.8/0.8
F-16 block 52+ aka F-16I = 1.1/1.2
F-16 block 60 = 1.3/1.2
F-15A = 1.2/0.5
F-15C = 1.3/0.5
F-15E = 1.4/1.5
F-15S = 1.3/1.4
F-15SG = 1.5/1.5
F-18A = 1/1.1
F-18F = 1.3/1.3
F-2 = 1.3/1.2
F-16AM = 1/08
Mirage 2000 = 1/1
Typhoon (MESA radar) = 1.3/1.1
Rafale (PESA radar) = 1.2/1.2
Tornado IDS = 0.5/1.2
Tornado ADV = 1/0.6
F-4 = 0.4/0.7
F-4 Terminator = 0.6/1
Su-27 = 1.2/0.4
MiG-29 = 0.9/0.5
Su-30MKI = 1.3/1.2
Su-30MKK = 1.2/1.2
MiG-21 aka J7 = 0.3/0.4
MiG-27 = 0.3/0.7
JF-17 = 0.9/0.8
AMX = 0.3/0.5
Mirage F.1 = 0.7/0.8
Mirage 3/5 = 0.3/0.4
Jaguar = 0.2/0.6
F-5 = 0.3/0.4
J-10 = 1/1
J-8 = 0.6/0.4
JH-7 = 0.5/1.1
Q-5 = 0.1/0.4
H-6 = 0/1

E-3, Phalcon, KJ-2000, Boeing 737 = 8/0
Saab, KJ-200 = 6/0
E-2C, ZDK-03 = 4/0

This estimate is still subjective does not include personnel quality and UAVs.

Good effort, but I do not see any points for BVR in the matrix. BVR missiles have changed the game plan all together and should have a strong weightage in a matrix like this.

you know what kudos to you thats nice work i actually think thats a very fair and accurate ranking .Good job.

Very good work. I give you an A+, althu some of the rankings are hard to believe including having my country Egypt over France for example.

Israel=1440
S.Arabia=1425
The new Saudi deal is for f15SA Not f15C(at the very least considered f15E) which would clearly give it a higher ranking than Israel based on your system.
Good job nonetheless.
