Pakistanis Launch Campaign To Collect Aid For Iran Flood Victims

Secretary General of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jaffari has asked party’s foreign affairs department head Shafqat Shirazi to direct the MWM office bearers in Australia, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Kuwait, Switzerland and United Kingdom to launch campaign for Iran flood victims.
The MWM has also informed the Iran embassy in Islamabad that a special bank account has been set up by the party to collect the donations from across Pakistan to help the Iranian brothers and sisters suffering from massive flood in the Islamic Republic.
Meanwhile, Jamat Ahle Haram Pakistan has also announced to collect aid for the victims of the recent floods in Iran.
President of the party Mufti Gulzar Naeemi has said that they will collect humanitarian aid all over the country to help the Iranian brothers hit by the floods.
Pakistani groups say as due to unilateral sanctions by an arrogant power and political pressures Iran is facing some problems to get the aid for flood victims that is why the initiative to collect the money has been launched across Pakistan to help the Iranian sisters and brothers affected by the recent floods.
Earlier Pakistan had extended deepest condolences and sympathies on the loss of human lives caused by heavy rains and flash floods in several provinces of Iran.
Unprecedented heavy rains caused floods in various parts of Iran over the past two weeks. Scores of people were killed and 478 others were injured and a large number were displaced across Iran.
The disaster coincided with the high season of Iranians’ trips as they were spending the national two-week holidays of Nowru

Warms my heart to see our Turkish and Pakistani neighbours giving helping hands.. it is in the crisis that you find your real friends. As for the US actions in blocking aid collected by the Iranian expats .. all I have to say.. shame on you ..Iran will not forget this.

Russia sends human aid to Iran following floods
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Russia has had close and continuous contacts with Iran’s Red Crescent Society to know about the required things for people in the affected areas.
Several consignments of human aid have been sent to Iran after a command by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
The human aid includes over 4.000 tents, bed, blankets and other required items.
