2002 Gujarat Riots Were Not 'Anti-Muslim', Teaches New NCERT Class XII Pol Science Textbook

The 2002 riots which left over eight hundred Muslims dead will be simply known as 'Gujarat Riots' in Class XII political science textbooks under the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

According to Hindustan Times, the NCERT has decide to remove the "anti-Muslim riots" reference in the revised textbooks.

The change will be made in a Class 12 textbook, published in 2007 during the UPA-I government.

In the current textbook it is mentioned under the subheading, “Anti-Muslim riots in Gujarat”, in the book’s ninth chapter titled “Politics in India since Independence”. Official estimates say about 800 Muslims and 250 Hindus were killed in the riots which were triggered by the death of 57 karsevaks returning from Ayodhya by train.

Earlier, NCERT Director Hrushikesh Senapaty had said that textbooks were not being revised and they were only reviewing the books in a systematic way.

"Revision of books and curriculum framework is a policy decision which will be taken at the level of the HRD ministry, and it is a massive task. What we are doing right now is reviewing the books, which is to plug the gaps," he told The Times of India in a recent interview.

These books were created in 2007 and there is a lot of information that needs to be updated." NCERT said it was ready to supply books to all CBSE schools and that scarcity of books was artificially created.

.
It were riots, not anti-particular community. But funny how leftists always stick to political correctness in History books when it comes to Islamic invasion.

. .
It's true as it wasn't muslims who burned train full of hindus pilgrimages it's safe to say that it wasn't hindu who massacred muslims there.

That riot was not anti muslim one,it was against killers by some unknown group of people.

. .
The riots started after a gang of jihadist thought it would be s good idea to burn a train full of Hindus. They assumed hindus would shut up and take it lying down like they have been.

So a bunch of thugs did something bad and you guys decided to murder 2000 innocent people.
Yeah, that's shining India right there.

And holy crap, have you been online? You can't get Hindus to shut up for even 2 minutes.

Godhra train fire accidental: Banerjee report
NEW DELHI: The fire in coach S-6 of Sabarmati Express on February 27, 2002, which killed 59 persons and led to the Gujarat riots, has become the centre of a fresh controversy with the U C Banerjee panel's report stating the blaze was accidental and the Gujarat High Court restraining the Centre from acting on the inquiry's findings.

.
If they were anti-muslim, who killed those 250 hindus? :undecided:

.
Godhra was an accident, reiterates Banerjee.

As the Nanavati Commission probing the Sabarmati Express fire termed it as "pre-planned", Justice U Banerjee who carried out a separate probe into the incident maintained that it was an "accident" and could never have been triggered through petrol.

Godhra train fire an accident: U C Banerjee report.

Friday, March 3, 2006 (New Delhi):
The Justice UC Banerjee committee has ruled that the fire in S-6 coach of the Sabarmati Express in Godhra was accidental.
The fire in the train on February 27, 2002 sparked communal riots across Gujarat in which hundreds of people were killed.
Justice Banerjee, a retired Supreme Court judge, had already mentioned a similar view in his interim report in January last year.
The report has been criticised for being politically motivated, but Justice Banerjee has stood by his interim report that the fire was no act of terror.

Contradictory view
The report clearly debunks the NDA's argument that there was a conspiracy theory behind the attacks.

The textbook is correct Gujrat Massacre of Muslims was not anti-Muslim rather the deadly riots were saffroni routine sacrifice to please the akhand bharat godess for blessing.

Similarly Sikh massacre of 84 was also not anti-Sikh rather it was a routine Congressis burning PRO BJP AND PRO RSS Sikhs alive

. .
This is what happens when a freak accident can be made to look like a mob attack or an attack by Muslims on the Hindu pilgrims. In the heat of the moment any mob can be brainwashed, incited, manipulated into attacking any religious group...and that exactly happens at Godhra and turned its heat later at Gulbarga, Ahmedabad massacre...the initial figures of dead were much higher and a rough figure of 2000 killed was quoted...

. .
Indians always accuse Pakistani textbook of being wrong, but here we have orwellian revisionist history in our face.

Its apt you mention George Orwell who wrote '1984'. That was also the year of the massacre of Sikhs in India (1984 riots). I guess Hindus will claim they werent anti Sikh riots either. This is what India is becoming- an Orwellian dystopian shithole.
