Well according to me Rafale(C/D) can carry only 1t more payload than EF, apart from that Rafale dosent have supercruise and has a Service ceiling 10,000ft lesser than EF
Rafale C/D? The Rafale has a payload of 9.5t, the EF only 7.5t, there are also reports of Rafale supercruising, but I guess it is the same like the reports of F16 supercruising, only for a short time and at speeds hardly matching this term. That's why both companies don't advaertise officially with this capability, so in this field the EF will remain better as well as at ceilling, but that won't make the EF better in A2G right?
In terms of RCS, t/w ratio, delta-canard design, weapon stations, or Meteor in future, both fighters are pretty equal. The Rafale is clearly better in terms of range, payload weapon integration, development stage and EWS. The EF is clearly better in radar range (actual non AESA radars), SC, ceilling, exports and better A2A weapons at the moment (Amraam vs Mica EM).
As long as the EF don't fully develop its A2G capabilities, it will remain mainly a A2A fighter with only minor multi role capabilities. Whereas the Rafale already is a real multi role fighter and imo with the most balanced performance!
