They got crashed by West Indies by only scoring 105 runs. And that net RR haunted Pakistan during rest of the tournament. Pakistan´s game against India was also stupid, as was their game against Afghanistan which Pakistan only won with margins...
Other Teams crashed Afghanistan - and had Pakistan won with a great margin then i would say that pakistan deserved to be in Semi finals. But if you can´t even beat a team like Afghanistan comfortably then....

Really and India won by 12 runs against Afghanistan. Pakistan scores three extra runs and had three balls left. We could have easily defeated them by more had we batted first.

Second never say never but Indians win thanks to the rain. We had our two good batesman still

Bad Luck India. Indian top and middle order batsman played horrible unlike their reputation but lower order shown some resistance to make it interesting.

Cricket is strange game.Pakistan defeated England and New Zealand but did not play good against low ranks team and India lost only two matches in this WC boht from those team whom Pak defeated i.e England and New Zealand. New Zealand also defeated India in warmup match

Actually it's that Pakistan fans were/are not upset with their team because they won 4 on the trot and lost due to a minor thing. Whereas most also believe (for various reasons) that India did what they did against England to oust Pakistan. But India does not owe anyone a favor anyhow this belief coupled Pakistan teams resurgence after what they had face left the fans already happy but seeing India for what a lot consider "to get what they deserved" is the cherry on top.

but they lost with newzealand and pakistan won against newzealand. It's about winning that matter the most. If we had match with Sirilanka we had won that game so it's all about luck.

You go to the semis by winning, and you don’t by losing. Pakistan lost games and convincingly, that’s what kept you out, NOT India!

Why not? Winning every match is not necessary in the base/group stage because exhaustion will set in.

Winning sufficient number of matches and managing NRR = important.

I would rather say that NZ outed PAK from WCC (NZ vs ENG match) and then went all out on IND in Semi Final stage - a clear display of tactical brilliance and homework.

Good thing that PAK came home with heads high after excellent performance against BNG. Loss in Semi Final stage is painful.

Well that’s why I’m congratulating Pakistanis, their win is India’s loss in the semi finals rather than their own appearance in it.

More like England outted Pakistan in that game. NZ were like 60-odd for 5 at one stage and England started bowling freaking Joe Root and some part timers to help NZs run rate. Karma is going to target England next.
