To be exact, these three are the most developed cities in Hubei province.
However the total province per capita isn't high, less than $8k in 2014.
And if you only use GDP to judge,it's inaccurate.
For example,if you only see GDP per capita,Jiangsu province is more developed than Zhejiang province, however, many other statistic like
electricity usage, income, car ownership amount, showes that Zhejiang is the most developed province in China.
(Beijing,Shanghai,Chongqing,Macau,Hong Kong,Tianjin,Taiwan exclude)
**BTW,it seems that few foreigner people know Macau...Is it true?

Oh,but GDP per capita can be used for general judgment.Despite the fact that Zhejiang is more developed than Jiangsu,Jiangsu is second in China(at least third,or equal to Guangdong province)
**China's wealthy provinces:Zhejiang(浙江),Jiangsu(江苏),Guangdong(广东),Shandong(山东),Liaoning(辽宁),Inner Mongolia(内蒙古),Fujian(福建).
**China's poor provinces:Gansu(甘肃),Yunnan(云南),Guizhou(贵州),Tibet(西藏),Guangxi(广西).
