The union’s Chairman Khandker Mahabbat Ali said local Awami League leaders, freedom fighters and other had gone to the madrasa after hearing of Aziz’s decision.

“When they asked Principal Aziz to hoist the flag, he refused saying the madrasa staff did not come in today. As the locals repeatedly urged him to hoist the flag, he disagreed and even went on to say that he will kill himself, but he won’t touch the flag.”

Ali said, “That made the already agitated locals lose their temper and they started to beat him. But Aziz managed to flee the scene.”

Whatever Bangladesh is, Its people wont beat a Madrasa Principal for not hoisting the Flag. I am sure all of the agitated local people were political activists.

1) Bangladesh was freed from awami league dictatorship and mass killings.
2) Bangladesh was freed (up until 2009) from defacto indian occupation like today.
3) Bangladesh was freed from wholesale awami league looting including attempt to loot Bangladesh bank sheikh mujib son.

sheikh mujib started his political life as cadre and he allowed awami armed cadre kill thousands or JSD (leftist) workers and freedom fighters. Same policy of killing (and worse) is followed by his daughter by killing thousands of opposition workers. Those who kill others to live in political luxury, history shows end always become tragic. So sheikh mujib brought his fate on him by himself. But Bangladesh got get sign of relief from awami looting and mass starvation of people.

Today is 15th August. A day of celebration for India as the country is celebrating its 70th independence day and national mourning day for Bangladesh as the country is observing the 41st death anniversary of the country's founding father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who was brutally killed in an Army coup along with his entire family and relatives including a 10 years old child of Bangabandhu. His two daughters (Hasina and Rehana) were in Germany during Mujib's assassination otherwise killers would have killed them also. Its considered the most barbaric political target killing in the Indian subcontinent.

A question rises. Why did killers choose India's independence day to assassinate entire Mujib's family who didn't even spare women and a 10 years old kid? Was there intention to give any message to India? Was there Pakistan's involvement to kill Bangladesh's founding father Sheikh Mujib?

On the other hand 15th August is also a special day for Sheikh Hasina's arch rival Khaleda Zia. She and her party BNP celebrate birthday of Khaleda on this day.

The day is a government holiday in Bangladesh and India for two different reasons.

You need some extensive reading to know that who were happy for that coup and why your own people and even family of mujeeb was not much saddened by his killing.

Pakistan has nothing to do with that assassination.

You need to ask why your own media and Indian media was asked to silence news about first attempt on his life also why Indian media was asked by own government not to say much or comment on BD coup

Police in Magura Sadar Upazila have detained the principal of a madrasa after he was beaten by locals for declining to hoist the national flag at half-mast on the National Mourning Day.


He was nabbed from Shatrujitpur on Monday afternoon, the district’s Superintendent of Police AKM Ehsan Ullah said.

The detainee, Abdul Aziz, is the principal of Beroil Darul Huda Senior Fazil Madrasa at the Upazila’s Beroil Palita Union.

Ehsan Ullah said legal steps will be taken against him.

Bangladesh observes Aug 15 as the National Mourning Day, the same day Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members were brutally killed in 1975.

The national flag flies at half-mast in all government, semi-government and autonomous organisations, educational institutions, private establishments on this day - a public holiday.

Madrasa teacher Aziz faced the ire of the locals at first on Monday by disagreeing to hoist the flag at half-mast.

That being said, actor Pijush Bandyopadhyay and (his wife Jayshree Kor) who was made MD of Bangladesh Film development Corp took a step further by putting Bangladesh flag on dog and celebrating with indian flag. Where the F *** were these ryad, anibus, bongbong type of indian dalals????? In 2012/2013 awami league using its terror force prevented even making Bangladeshi flags.
