have you ever heard of those Chinese rocket-launchers of 400+km range? So you even don't need to use the airforce to attack Hanoi. Just set a row of launchers along the border and fire rockets to them continuously/constantly until they surrender. It is way much cheaper than missiles and efficient.

If China keep rising like current trend to a certain scale, sooner or later all those bordering countries will have to switch position to become her allies. So, there are only two choices now to countries like Korea --- either to hinder/interrupt China's rise or prepare to become a subsidiary...
