aisa nahi hota! PMLN ko vote Nawaz Sharif key naam ka parta hai

The thing is PMLN ka die hard voter kabi b PPP ya PTI ko vote nai daly ga ...... to NS ki gair majoodgi may Nisar in voters ki hamdardian samait skta hy ........ after all NS kay last time bhagnay kay badh Nisar nay he party sambhali thi ......... aur Nisar kuch aisi khas mutaynaza shaksiyat b nai hy.

Jiss kay pass system ki kunji ............ uss kay vote. Chaudhry has got the keys this time.

Nawaz aur Maryam ke baad PMLN gaee.

Abb tak inhain yeh sabar tha ke Maryam bach jaegi.. aur kafi doosray log, including me, yehi samajh rahay thay.. but Maryam ko jo chhittar paray hain, uss bechari ka siyasi career shuru honay se pehlay hi matti main mil gaya..

Aik ummeed PMLN ke liey yeh hai, ke yeh party PML - S ban jaey.. phir bhi punjab main inn ko kafi vote parr jaega.. kyun ke Punjab main PMLN ko Nawaz se ziada shahbaz ki wajah se vote parta hai..

What about Shahbaz?

Job well done, now I think IK should start taking cases pending against him seriously. Ephedrine Abbasi jalla howa mooh ly ker baith jaita hy court room number 1 mein, it'll be highly regrettable if this minnow watta bowler manages to take IK's wicket on seemingly a batting deck.

Dawn news just posted transcripts of Nawaz Sharif's interview. Can't post links yet.

Following are the questions asked by the JIT and the prime minister’s answers.

Q: In your speeches you had mentioned that all record relating to Azizia and Gulf Steel was available but later your counsel stated in the Supreme Court that no such record was available. Can you explain this contradiction?

A: I am not sure, maybe I had given the record to the speaker, but I am not sure about this.

Q: You have stated that you stand by whatever respondents 6, 7 and 8 have submitted before the Supreme Court of Pakistan during the proceedings of the case about Gulf Steel and Azizia etc. Did you personally see what they have submitted before the Supreme Court of Pakistan or your knowledge is based on family discussions?

A: I had not seen the submissions, my knowledge is based on the family discussions but I endorse whatever has been submitted by them.

Q: Do you have any other documents that you want to produce in addition to the ones you have brought today?

A: There are no further documents to be produced. We have already provided all the documents we had.

Q: In 1999, the Queens Bench Division had put a caution on the Avenfield properties which was removed on the basis of a settlement. What is your knowledge about the terms of the settlement?

A: I have heard about it but I do not know about the terms of settlement.

Q: You had referred to the settlement of family assets in 2005. Was the matter of investment of proceeds of Gulf Steel discussed especially with regards to the Avenfield properties?

A: Yes, perhaps it was discussed and since they had remained in the possession of Hassan and Hussain. I think Hassan is the owner but I’m not sure.

Q: Hussain claims to own the apartments now but practically Hassan has lived in one of the apartments from decades now. Don’t you find this a bit odd?

A: It is not unusual for brothers.

Q: Do you know about the trust deed signed between Mr Hussain Nawaz Sharif and Ms Maryam Nawaz Sharif with reference to the companies of Mr Hussain?

A: I have no knowledge of the trust deed signed by Mr Hussain Nawaz Sharif on behalf of Maryam (Nawaz) Safdar.

Q: Do you know Saeed Ahmed of National Bank of Pakistan and did you have any business with him?

A: I know Saeed Ahmed since a very long time but I do not have any business links with him.

Q: Do you know the Qazi family?

A: I do not know them. I meet a lot of people and do not remember them all.

Q: Do you know Sheikh Saeed?

A: Yes, I know him since a long time, but I do not have any business relationship with him.

Q: A settlement with NAB was carried out on your behalf in 2001-2 for the case of Hudabiya papers mills and payment was made through loans taken from Chaudhry and Ramzan mills. Please apprise us with the details of this settlement.

A: I do not know if there was a loan. I do not have any knowledge of this matter.

Q: Did you send any money abroad to any of your family members?

A: No I did not.

Q: Was a portion of money received from Hill Metals used for political funding?

A: No, but if I did, is it a crime?

Q: Would it not come under foreign funding?

No reply was made.

SC has not just asked how much he used to earn, but how much he used to save (from 1971 onward) so that they can analyse if he was able to buy London property in 1983.

Who does that? Only reason in my opinion, SC has decided to send IK home..

The joint investigation team (JIT) investigating the ruling Sharif family's financial history may have found many 'anomalies' in the respondents' statements; but none quite captured the public imagination like the fact that key documents submitted by Maryam Nawaz were found to be 'faked' — given away by their use of the Calibri font.

Dawn.com reached out to Lucas de Groot, the designer credited with creating the font, to weigh in on whether the font was available in February 2006 (when the document was signed) or earlier, as claimed by Maryam Nawaz supporters, or 2007, as claimed by pretty much the rest of the internet.

A query, addressed to de Groot through his company LucasFonts, was answered by Lieselotte Schäfer, a company representative, who said:

"As discussed with Lucas, here is what we can say about the Calibri release dates: Lucas started designing Calibri in 2002 and sent the final source files to Microsoft not before March 2004."

The reply goes on to add although beta versions of the Microsoft Vista Operating System (codenamed Longhorn) were subsequently made available — LucasFont said Microsoft could say when exactly — "early Windows betas are intended for programmers and technology freaks to see what works and what doesn’t."

"As the file size of such operating systems is huge, it would have been a serious effort to get," the reply added, possibly to address the question of whether such a beta version of a software may have been used by whoever drafted the documents for Maryam Nawaz.

"As far as I know, the first public beta versions of Calibri were published in 2006. We do not know the exact date for this public release date [but] it is [still] extremely unlikely that somebody would copy fonts from a beta environment to use in official documents," it adds.

The first public beta version, according to a Wikipedia entry, was released on June 6, 2006 — close to four months after the papers were said to have been signed by Maryam Nawaz.

LucasFont's statement also holds weight given that beta versions of software are unfinished and in testing phase. Only people with an extra-ordinary interest in computer software usually subscribe to their use, as they potentially hold numerous undiscovered glitches that may interrupt their usage at any given time.

"Office 2007 was the first product officially using Calibri on a large scale," the email continues. "It was made available to volume license customers (resellers) on November 30, 2006, and later to retail on January 30, 2007, [at] the same [time as the] respective release dates of Windows Vista."

In a separate email, de Groot, the font designer himself, said that while in theory it would have been possible to create a document using Calibri in 2006, the font would have to be obtained from a beta operating system, "from the hands of computer nerds".

"Why would anyone use a completely unknown font for an official document in 2006?" he went on to question.

"If the person using Calibri was such a font lover that he or she had to use the new Calibri, then he or she should be able to prove that other documents were printed with Calibri in 2006, and these prints should be in the hands of other people as well," he wrote.

De Groot said in his opinion the document signed by Maryam Nawaz was "produced much later, when Calibri was the default font in MS Word".

Though the forensic expert engaged by the JIT had made basically the same argument — that the font was not available publicly before January 31, 2007 and therefore unlikely to have been used in an official document dated 2006 — there were some who continued to insist that the font had been in circulation before that and there was nothing suspicious about Maryam Nawaz using it.

Among these was Barrister Zafarullah Khan, who appeared to mock the forensic expert's opinion on Tuesday evening during a press conference. During his brief talk, Khan sarcastically directed whoever was making the claim to: "Please Google and see that [the font] was released in August 2004."

There were indications that the Wikipedia entry for the Calibri font had also been changed repeatedly to reflect a similar claim till Wikipedia itself placed a hold on editing the page till July 18 "or till editing disputes are solved".

Altaf ke baad dekha hai kia haal hua MQM ke saaray heavy weights ka?

Shahbaz is the only chance, but @QatariPrince is saying that he doesn't enjoy a lot of support, which seems odd to me TBH.

My info/reports are not something that PTI would be happy with.

Brief background on which these assumptions are based on:

As discussed before; CJP has very close relationship with Nawaz since 1997, when he was handpicked for newly created all powerful position of Secretary Law under MoJL, then within a year, summary was sent by PM office to elevate him to Justice in LHC.

(Maryam's tweet after ex CJP's retirement was in reference to this strong relationship with CJP, and he took the case of IK and sat on that bench deliberately)

This closeness and biasness of Saqib Nisar for Nawaz and PMLN was known to PPP, which resulted in Zardari not signing the Iftikhar Ch's recommendation to elevate Saqib Nisar as Justice in SCP in 2010.

@Farah Sohail @PakSword @QatariPrince @Verve @Imad.Khan @Guvera

Hmm.. This is what we were discussing yesterday too.. It seems tht CJ Saqib Nisar wants to disqualify IK..but is not getting enough reason for it..and his frustration was evident yesterday too.. CJ pretends to be neutral..and takes high moral ground..but his frustration was very much evident yesterday.....Justice Umar Ata Bandial seems to me, a balanced and upright person.. Cant say much abt Justice Faisal Arab, as he makes the least comments and is mostly silent.. So difficult to say anything abt him, at this stage...

What does ur info says..regd pakora judge and advocate?

It would seem that if the CJ disqualifies IK on whatever grounds, the credibility of the Supreme Court will plummet. That will benefit N big time. I wonder of the CJ is willing to put the entire judiciary and in turn the country at stake to save a family. I highly doubt it.
