Myanmar in advanced negotiations with Pakistan to licence-build JF-17 fighter

Well Jane is a credible source and holds weight w.r.t. defence news. However, two things beside Myanmar interest for producing inhouse Block-III are really eye catching.

Rest about in-house production of Block-III in Myanmar is highly unlikely depending upon level of relations and current geo-politics (read Myanmar India here) and that too due to safety purpose as India may have a reach to the bird easily. I can be wrong in this account but looking at first hand, this is how it seems like that Pakistan wouldn't compromise the leading Block-III like this or will take any chance until & unless, these reservations are worked out properly in every manner. On other hand, may be our permanent presence in Myanmar, would have been suggested w.r.t. keeping close eye as well as providing all the support and the same brings close relations with Myanmar along-with point of influence. Also, we have to check Myanmar's expertise in this field for production of air-crafts.
Myanmar has about 40 A-5s and F-7s. Assuming a 1:1 replacement ratio, we are talking about another 24 JF-17s - which is really small for in-house manufacturing. My guess: local assembly and, more importantly, integration work. Remember, Myanmar does have decent ties with Israel, so we could see them integrating Elbit and Rafael gear onto their JF-17s, and doing it at home might be the easiest way to placate Israeli concerns (about Sino-Pak snooping).

It is going to be a major win over Indian arms industry. Pakistan is already in a deal with Srilanka, Myanmar will be the second Asian country to join the club. It means that those who say "Pakistan is not making even a needle" will have no argument against us because we are manufacturing a fighter jet that is a heavy weight in its class.
Pakistan is already hosting a large number of Rohingyas in Karachi refugee camps. Myanmar is never going to use JF17s against the poor Rohingyas we know.
In order to become a player in the world arms market, Pakistan will have to keep strategy, business, and religion in separate boxes and go for solutions that meet the requirements decently.
SO don't worry, Pakistan Zindabaad !!!

MAF putting Elbit avionics inside this airframe is almost certain as I'v predicted in my previous comment

Q-5s have all been retired a while ago and it's role of 'ground support attack' have been filled with K-8s in a 2:1 replacement , why else would a AF that small need 50 jet trainers ?

That leaves the replacement of 20+ F-7s with JF-17 , no way in hell somebody start a production line for such small a number , what makes sense is probably PAF setting up a Maintain/Refurbish/Repair/OverH facility there for JF-17/K-8 and Klimov engines :drag:

Israel has very good relationship with China. If it is not Yankees there to hinder, we will get anything we want. Nowadays Israel tach is less attractive after China make huge progress. They gave China lots of good stuffs in the past under Yankee's pressure: 1500 units Pythont III AAM for developing PL8 AAM. ELM-2021 radar for J10, Lavi design for J10 development, cruise missile seeker, tank thermal image system, IAI Harpy, even the tech support for HQ9 SAM. The depth of cooperation between China and Israel is far beyond peoples'imagination. There is an saying: enemy's friend is my friend as well.

You are assuming that Myanmar will compromise its own defence secrets. I find that implausible. And, showing hostility to Myanmar is not going to change anything. The only way to bring about change is by speaking with Myanmar.

What has the boycott of Israel achieved so far?

Yes dear Myanmar can compromise his defence secrets. Because secrets regarding jf 17 r not myannar secrets they r Pakistans defence secrets actualy. And dont forget india can do eny thing to counter Pakistan

I think selling JF17 to MAF is fine, but shall not ToT JF17 to MAF. Selling only means Limited combat ability, ToT means manufacturing an uncontrolled rival.

As long as PAF doesn't agree to ToT, China won't do it. I also think China shall not ToT the JF17 to a politically unstable country like Burma.

China and Pakistan shall coordinate on this issue, and shows the same caliber.

Just look at the Chinese weapons BD and Myanmar have in their arsenal, they are far from friends of India. Unlike Pakistan, Myanmar is second tier friend of China. We shall have close eyes on them, to prevent future betray. I think BD is more a priority to China than Myanmar.
Myanmar buying weapon from China definitely doesn't offend India.....
Cause Pakistan Bangladesh & Myanmar make 70% of Chinese defence exports. It has been happening since long & nothing new in it..

Pakistan will have JF17 blk3 and FC31 in the future, not a big problem.

In this case, it's Pakistan making a fighter jet for Myanmar, Indians may have bruised ego with it.

Well Pakistan is a certified enemy of India.India will take proper measures but my comment is in context of Myanmar..You can sell them whatever you want..They aren't our enemy..India & Myanmar both have same interests in this region....
Also it's not Pakistan selling but China selling their Pakistani version of fc1.

"Pakistani version" is built by Pakistan, and being sold to Myanmar and Nigeria.

Definitely not trying to start any Bangladesh-Pakistan conflict. But this is an insulting and uncalled for statement and should be taken back.
Well, Pakistan didn't behaved like countryman with us. Their past deeds can be compared with colonialism...
