15 Jordanian F-16 for sale

http://www.indiatvnews.com/business...y-shift-its-manufacturing-unit-from-us-353376

With this news does it matter anymore?

Perfect check mate to PAF's desire to continue with F-16
it is similar to what TAI has, rights, the manufacturing rights are being given to India just like they have given to turkey and some other European countries if pak wants to upgrade, overhaul or even procure it can be made through like done in the past TAI.
PAF should be looking to upgrade their ex Jordanian F-16s in the near future, news will be out soon.
PAF's love with 16's was best described in the book published in late 1500's Romeo and Juliet.
F-104's,F-86's and F-16's have a special place in every PAF's aviator.
The affection is real and has a reason,no other plane comes closer to the victories these trio have achieved in combat against Soviet,Afghan,Indian,Israeli air forces, name any air force with this tight of a budget with these victories.UAV's,bombers, fighters, transport aircraft you name em,PAF took em down like little birds.

Two Questions...............

Hypothetically, would USA allow Pakistan to purchase older F-16s if Turkey offers it to Pakistan.

Hypothetically, would USA allow Pakistan to purchase older F-16s if Isreal (directly or through 3rd party) offers it to Pakistan.

Quick question - I believe US is asking Pakistan to pay for F-16 instead of giving it for free...If Pakistan wants to buy F-16 then why not directly from US...is cost benefit too great here or am I missing something?

I thought I'd complete the statement as it was missing a few words

"RJAF would like to sell 15 serviceable F16 M3 aircraft to Pakistan" :enjoy:

Just visited the official website of Royal Jordanian Air Force it is mentioned no where that they are willing to sell it to Pakistan, they have just put a sale tag on them. Its up to everyone whoever quotes the best offer. But, i hope Pakistan might buy after looking the flying hours completed and condition.

I was being sarcastic if you couldn't tell. Pakistan may actually be talking through back channels. My opinion? Its time for the Pakistanis to move on from the F-16. Buy better and latest equipment and build more advanced JFT's. That's a good combination.

PAF and GoP was only agreed to new F-16 when US says that we will subsidized the deal and you will not have to pay full price.

but Congress stop subsidy and LM ask for full price which was almost $85 million for a piece..

GoP reject the deal and says that new F-16 blk 52 does not worth that amount of money. as compared to Su-35 and Rafale which are more ahead in almost every factor and costs nearly $85 million and $100 million.

that is why PAF is looking for used F-16s to buy them between $10-20 million and upgrade them with another $5-10 million. and that used F-16 will be at par with blk50.

I presume the $85 million per aircraft included maintenance and parts supply for a fixed amount of years. Do the others include the same?

Su-35 includes that things.
india's deal for rafale costs around $4-4.5 billion for for almost 10 years of maintenance.

I don't think so PAF will ever buy these F-16s may be there are other countries who may buy it. If not wrong PAF has some 12 remaining F-16 Block-15s in USA?

5 to 15 millons depends on many factors, 3 to 15 millons for upgrade depends on configuration and type of upgrade, some of them can be used for parts.
Total cost per planes will be significantly less compare to buying new.
