Generalizing is incorrect. These mob killings are very unfortunate and have happened here too, so to all Pakistani members let us not generalize. One thing i will criticize is the fact that he was killed over allegedly eating beef, no one deserves to die. Understandable Cow is sacred, the elders should have done something to stop the mob. It's time to give that mans family justice, anyone who was involved in his killings should be brought to justice. Can't understand how anyone can justify it, even if the meat was Beef.

Best to report and ignore.

There was NO justification.

The instigators and defenders were the same as the animals responsible for the horrors two years ago at Muzaffarnagar.

Why do you have to quote the names of patriotic Muslim civil servants or military professionals to prove that they are patriotic? This country is a house for second biggest population of Muslims for the last seventy years in considerable peace than other Muslim majority nations in South Asia. Why not credit should not be given to those unnamed regulars who are toiling hard day in and day out for leaving just like you and me without any sort of communal hatred against others?

Sir... yeah.. sorry for that.. jus had to show him a few example as he wont belive minorities in general are living in harmony.... well, my mistake...

If you are referring to Cato the Censor, and not one of his forebears, this was the war-obsessed lunatic who spoke on every debate in the Senate with the prescription 'Delenda est Carthago'

I am not surprised that you find his views sympathetic..

Buddha proclaimed the proverb:"Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who will get burned in the end". Your negative rating of my previous correspondence was hilarious and had me smiling, because apparently I have touched a nerve to cause such frustration. These school yard tactics will hardly affect me:) All Consuls from the Roman Empire were war-obsessed individuals, because the plebeians demanded successful campaigns against the barbarians. After all Julius Caesar started the genocide of Gaul for this reason alone. Furthermore, I would Cato refuse the call on the destruction of Carthage, when Hannibal was plundering Roman territory for over 10 years and the enmity between both civilizations had been ongoing for generations. His views were against the Hellenistic culture which he deemed as a threat to the Roman Empire. I don't find his views sympathetic, however he was a great writer and the first historian on the history of Italy in Latin.

Thank you for your concern. After examining the views of bigots like some whom I can point to readily, I have developed very high blood pressure, and am now on maximal medication.

A good Samaritan must always show his concern to those who are in need of help:)

Where? There is no such law in India or in the UK..

His post actually tells how these matters end up going all loony. Goes all incredulous about a possible ban on beef while calmly asserting in the same post that drawing cartoons is a crime.....:D Proof that religion does do crazy things to some, clearly able to see the absurdities in the practices of others but seeing the ones closer home in a different light.

Drawing cartoons is forbidden. It's against law and punishable. In India is there any law of banning food? Beef?

Again, to the second of the two dyed in the wool non believers.

Not all religious guys are loonies.

And being a non believer is no safeguard against being one either.

Cheers, Doc

A singularly stupid and senseless remark. The difference is that we condemn this kind of barbarity when it happens in our own land; you do not./QUOTE]

Confucius wrote a famous proverb in his book:"People with no brain have no cure, especially when they try to catch a fish from a tree". You have condemned this kind of barbarity, however stop your obnoxious moral speech on speaking on the behalf of all Indians, when clearly some have supported this action. Remember this topic is about India:) Such an amusing petulant child you have become.

No disagreement. Hence substituted the word "some" for "one".

I am so pleased to have contributed to your Roman holiday.

As you know such a great deal, you also know that during the period of the Punic Wars, Rome had many consuls. Marcus Porcius Cato was just one of them. He was the only one who was obsessive. He was also barbaric and savage, beyond the norm, and wholly a misogynist.

A proverb for you:

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing,
Drink deep or drink not of the Peirian Spring.

His views were against the Hellenistic culture which he deemed as a threat to the Roman Empire. I don't find his views sympathetic, however he was a great writer and the first historian on the history of Italy in Latin.

Let us be thankful for small mercies.

A good Samaritan must always show his concern to those who are in need of help:)

Of course he must. What else would have guided you, but this benevolence and total lack of malice? A truly snow-white, spotless character.

Congratulations. You made it to your first distinction.

I don't suppose the juxtaposition of Russell and your potty mouthed expressions particularly discompose you.

As I said earlier, the distinguishing mark which separates hypocrites from the genuinely outraged is the ability to see the fault in one's own country, and not to slur it over with vague nationalistic pablum. You, sad to say, do not survive the test.

Thank you for commending me, however its imperative to quote me properly next time rather than writing in haste. You have brought nationalism into the topic, so please stick to the script:)

You should be awarded the noble prize award for contributing and showing such dedication to the success of my Roman holiday:)

.

When your knowledge is zilch on a particular topic, then the optimum outcome is to research more and stop procrastinating on trying to play arm chair historian general:) Cato in Roman history has been designated with the title wise and ancient, therefore he was respected deeply within Roman culture. Every single Roman Consular was obsessive with war and you must be naive to believe on the conjecture that only Cato exhibited these characteristics. Julius Cesar killed over 1 million Gauls during his campaign to annex there territory. Scipio was the one who razed Carthage to the ground and made sure nothing would ever grow there again, because the Romans developed a grudge when their fathers were continuously slain in battle against Hannibal and the humiliation they suffered from it.

A proverb for you:

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing,
Drink deep or drink not of the Peirian Spring.

An empty vessel makes the loudest noise, would be my Pothwari proverb to you:)

Yes we can Shame, but Indians are shameless and they always come up bullshit logic. Yes we are very shameful for being your neighbor.
What bullshit logic did Indians came up with?
