Manoochehr manteghi the chief of Iranian air industries organization (IAIO) revealed the Russian plans to transfer the technology of one of Iranian drones, though he didn't say which one.
during his visit of MAKS 2015 in Russia he announced the news and said we are negotiating on the subject.

Russians haven't given their aircraft technologies to Iran why should Iran give their drones technologies to them?!
you're right !

this needs to be a 2 way street . When it comes to drone technology , Iran is way ahead of the average 1st world countries .

only a couple of countries are ahead of us .

so Iran hasn't shared any of the captured U.S drones with Russia.... interesting.

I wonder if the RQ-170 is the drone in question

Russians are tricky.

I don't knew why we are so nice . In 1980 they wanted some phoenix missiles and we also didn't gave them one.

They probably want to buy information about the RQ-170.

OR they want the recipe to the stealth coating on Qaher-313 and want to apply it to future drones.

Iran should take the chance and start a joint venture with Russia, it will help both Iran and Russia get what they want

times are changing :azn:

Iran should delay the transfer like how Russia did to S-300.

I think both Iran and Russia are now serious about greatly increasing their ties. It would not be wise to do anything to stop the momentum. Iran is not stupid. They would not just give x and not get Y in return. Just because we're not aware of it in open media, it does not mean it is not occurring. Who knows what is happening behind the scenes.

Iran and Russia will hopefully develop a much more strategic ties now. After the recent issues regarding Ukraine, I think Russia is seeing the world very differently now ;)

Speculations on Iranian forums say it's either Fotros or S-129 .

Fotros is more likely as it enjoys more powerful engine and higher range .

I hope it's given to them as a part of a deal that incorporates Iran getting the Su-30 SM technology in return

Imagine if we assemble Su-30 in Iran. :chilli:

PS. Iran export many goods to Russia. For example Iran exports cars to Russia since 2004.

Iran to export passenger cars to Russia

With sanctions gone the Russians will be more forthcoming in offering Iran many new weapons and support system as they desperately need newer markets for there products

Russia is a much better ally than US of A. We have been suffering presler amendment type things from US constantly. I can't name one country happy with their partnership with USA.
