I would like to add that Haseena regime is even more cruel for she is not budging to help Rohingya that are ethnically and religiously closest to Bengalis. JFs will only possibly be used against Rohingya (if any were left by the time Burma acquires them) but what Haseena regime is doing for those who are being oppressed and thrown out of Burma like now?

We appreciate BD in developing and its economy is growing . We wish you people that you do even better . Coming to BAF,it is not a potent Airforce and it has no teeth to fight and even defend with its neighbours especially IAF.In this scenerio you dont need anything to replace or induct any airplane in your airforce . You are doing good without it so dont need to invest in fighter jets .

1.BAF F-7MB is 3rd gen fighter and F-7BG/BG1 are 3.5 Generation point defence fighter. Can carry 3000 kg Bomb including Chinese Laser Guided Bombs.
2.Our F7 BGI is faster (Mach2.2 vs Mach1.6) than JF-17. Has same weapons load (3000kg) and easier maintenance.We have ground based AESA radars to augment F7's poor radar. The Chinese aircraft is cheap.
3. BD is geographically a small compact landmass. We have some of the best ground based Air Def available. Moreover, our ordnance factory is fast producing MANPADs so that we will deploy thousands of them in a swarming air def tactics.
4. Our top potential threat remains India. The Burmese are no threat that we can't take care unleashing the Mujahids.

In time they will be as PGs are not old only 10 + years but ultimately it will be replaces wither by 16,or 17

Mate i dont want to be a party spoiler here but with 37 odd f-7s and 8 mig-29's do you really think you stand a chance against IAF? As much as i would like to see so but unfortunately you guys are overwhelmingly outnumbered by a far superior and technically advanced airforce ...forget about pilot skills because that is a debatable thing ...Bangladesh may/can have better pilots but still when you are outnumbered by such overwhelming margin and your enemy possesses far superior platforms ...the only thing you can do is pray either for some divine help or for such event not to take place.

Besides the way bangladesh airforce has lagged behind may it be due to resource constrains both human and monetary or for some political reasons , its very hard to catch up ...Only some miracle can make bangladesh catch up with modern airforces now...If i am IAF i won't be even considering bangladesh at this point in time because 8 mig 29s or 25 mig 29 ai'nt gonna make any such difference.

Besides when you have such good government to government relationships with haseen regime tilted towards modi sarkar why do you even want to think about the possibility of a tussle? Ain't haseena regime doing good sycophant job?

BAF only has 45 combat aircraft excluding current crashes. i say iaf will have the best of you in about 48 hours max, you don't stand a chance 37 f-7's and 8 mig 29's the iaf pilots must be drunk for you to stand a chance. saying something is easy but actually doing it is a lot harder.

i dont worry for BD AF, why should i ? I am putting my analysis. Plain fact is you dont have a potent AF . Dont feel offended on the facts . Now your economy is thriving, BD needs to put some in AF . It would make you feel better .

I don't know why Bangladeshi fellows are making a fuss about nothing. It's not like JF-17 wasn't up for Sale to BAF, BAF could've bought JF17, I am sure there was no restrictions on such a deal happening. All of you are taking this sale as wrt to a country selling some product to another country where as i think it should be more looked as a business deal because it's a joint venture of PAC and CAC and whose product is JF17 whose sales to any country are welcome (unless they don't pose a direct threat to Countries of the involved Companies itself -Pak and China) So it should not be taken as a move of hostility towards Bangladesh but merely as a business deal which is good for JF17 project to grow. It's your government foreign policy who have not utilized this option because JF-17 surely going to be the best option for its category when
block 3 comes and which going to bring a whole set of great capabilities like AESA, IFR, ECM and whole variety of weapons with no strings attached at the fraction of cost!

You are wrong. BD is not that bothered and does not see this as a hostile move by Pakistan. BAF has its own plan for modernisation and it does not include JF17. BAF will buy either russian or chinese planes directly in a few years time as funds become available. Good luck on your weapons sales..... it has no relevance for BD...
