France & Pakistan to revive JF-17 Avionics/EW/Missiles deal as Indian MMRCA stalls.

Time is now.

Let me thank you for the laughter provided.

Now post avionics deal from Russia as FGFA stalls.

On a serious note, the Rafale deal has nothing to do with avionics. Pakistan continues to discuss with france, we might see some progress when PAF visits the Paris airshow in June.

And most likely these avionics would be used in LCA too... Maybe France is thinking for a co production with Pakistan to sell the avionics to India too...

Who knows !

what if one day french have a new deal with indians... then our deal will be stalled... french are not trustworthy

Of course.... that could well be part of the "make in pakistan initiative"; after the Sitara Automotive project.

Now this deal is totally screwed up ....so guys just close the topic.

We all knew this thread was just s bit of fun ...

French upgrades to thunder is just too time consuming complicted and financially huge.

So many pdf members got excited.

We should close it now move on to something more realistic

True that even EW suits may be Co developed with PAF and later used in 36 Rafale for IAF .

Highly placed source said Dassault will be producing communication equipment in Pakistan for their JF17 and later used in all their exports . Like Indian MMRCA . Great boost for JF17 project. May be secret deal also possible .

This deal was never on cards to begin with and this thread was based on pure fantasies.

@Horus was speculating that French would be stupid enough to let go $50+ billion defence business for sake of a sub billion deal. This was never happening to begin with, even if we had cancelled MMRCA tender altogether.

BTW, We have already bribed French to deny avionics for JF-17. It was done in guise of overpriced Mirage 2000I upgrade.

Avionics for JF-17 was denied when MMRCA was in evaluating stage and no one knew who would come on top in technical evaluation.

After rafale deal with India, this will not happen. Target for this type of move has been achieved by France.

@Taygibay your comments are needed :3

Hey George buddy! I'm in France right now but have little time to use on fora until the last week of April.

I suppose you meant concerning Horus' announcement and not the Rafale deal signed with India from yesterday.
In that case, as I never give credit to any ( whichever side incuding "mine" when it applies ) sources unamed,
no matter what the tag _ official, close to, informed, etc _, I'd still have to say this is speculation.
Not that it is impossible, mind you, merely unsubstantiated.

I could say this though about posts that appeared after yours : every corporation has a commercial culture of its own.
Some like to communicate a lot ( akin to running their mouth off ), others are very circumspect and yet others never talk before a deal is actually signed with the ink dry and all. Not presuming on any other, I can say with certainty that Dassault is at worst of the middle kind and at best of the latter. Thales used to be more talkative but since Dassault took a bigger stake, their communications stances are much more in synch?

You're a bright guy so I suppose you can infer the rest? 8-)

And maybe even translate for our more obtuse friends? But hey, do your daily stuff first; I'm guessing it will keep until
I get back to a normal schedule. :rolleyes1:

All the best to you & yours and good day all, Tay.
