Hello all. I have come to notice the following news. Apparently its not significant, after all some F-16s have been transferred from PAF Base Shahbaz, Jacobabad to PAF Base Mushaf, Sargodha. However, I found it interesting because Shahbaz is the home base of Blk-52+, which were jealously guarded by the US, and not allowed on other bases. My question is, the F-16s transferred from Shahbaz to Mushaf are Blk-52+? If yes, the restrictions from the US are relaxed?

What is the point of imposing sanction when F-16s are PAF's asset? They should be allowed to operate anywhere in Pakistan and even when War time comes. What if such situation occurs?

It was/is perhaps to prevent Blk-52+ technology from falling into Chinese hands.

there were some media reports that some of our MLUed F-16 were also stationed at Shahbaz air base, so my guess is this news is about MLU birds ....

The F-16s transferred are the MLUs. They are part of 9 & 11 squadrons who are based in Sargodha.
There are severe restrictions on the Block-52s and their movements as issue has to with the US afraid of Chinese peeking under the hood. The Block-52s are VERY VERY advanced aircraft with certain tricks that are not public and provide us a fairly potent strike asset.

THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS AGAINST THEIR USE IN A WAR WITH INDIA.

Yes, as Oscar pointed out those being moved to Sargodha are the original assets of 9 and 11 Squadrons, which after going through their MLU, were stationed at Shahbaz for familiarisation and transition.
As for Block-52s having restrictions of use against say India, it's no rocket science to conclude that these aircraft don't need CFTs to fly within Pakistan. !!

they need assurance PAKISTAN doesn't load nukes as an pre-empt action against INDIA.
"WE MAY BE WEAK, BUT THEIR FEAR IS KILLING THEM"

The F-16s will be equipped with nuclear weapons as a last desperate resort; ONLY and ONLY if the hundreds of ballistic missile delivery systems, cruise missile systems and stand off weapons are somehow neutralized.

I am quite confident that a nuclear exchange will never happen in South Asia. M.A.D. works!

That it may not. But the doctrines and procedures are there.

Of course, a credible deterrent on both sides in needed to make M.A.D. work, and the F-16s are part of that overall setup. For all the fashionable hatred towards USA in Pakistan, that country has provided significant support to ensure that Pakistan has a credible nuclear deterrent in order to help stability in South Asia.

Don't the MLU-ed ones come with the same level of technology as BLK52s? Yes there might be some differences, like the EW suite in the D version, but MLU's are suppose to do everything that BLK50s can do as well.....no?

Heard that if around 200 nuclear warheads are exploded anywhere in the world at the same time then whole world will be destroyed following their effects and not just those countries.
