well sir you dint get it when you can buy say a BMW 5 series with all the exotick stuff why will you buy a cheapest version of kia and in terms of leathallity , service life or any other parameter JF17 can never possibally be compared to Typhoon not even 1:5 ratio .. am i wrong sir :azn:

Owning a brand new bimmer and a KIA as well i can tell you my bimmer broke down twice and my KIA is still going strong after 3 years and 180 thousand kms.

I believe the modest performance of the JF-17s is good enough to expand our fleet, enhance our capabilities, and maintain our self-defensive cutting-edge.

There are slower Bimmers and faster KIAs. But then again JF-17 isnt to compete with F-15s or Typhoons but rather for Self Defence which is the motto for Saudi National Guard. Plus what better way to kickstart their own manufacturing industry? No one is arguing JF-17 is at the forefront, it has its niche and does extremely well at it.

On another note, dump your bimmers when warranties expire. Otherwise that tank of a car will be a drain for money.

More than modest, RSAF F-15s to get SLAM-ER 250km, JF-17 might offer 250km perhaps even more R'aad ALCM and anitship missiles Chinese origin 250+ both which are not only GPS dependent but soon Beidou 1 and 2 that is a huge plus point.
Also CM-506KG Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) Precision Guided Glide Bomb has weight of 150kg and has maximum range of 130km [not the basic variant] compare it to SDB GBU-39B 110km. And what are the chances the attractive item CM400AKG carrier killer is exported that is another huge point that F-15s or Typhoons are deprived of.

Better for them to Join in the program to have:
100 EF-2000 Tranch1
100 EF-2000 Tranch2
100 EF-2000 Tranch3

A total of 300 of them

This is too much. We only need another 33 in addition to the 72 we've purchased. We will be getting the F-35s in near future, there is no point for placing an order of a 300 total :/

They have a lot of F-15s INcreasing their typhoons sounds like a good idea. However, why not become a partner in the Typhoon, or start investing in a plan with similar capabilities. It certainly doesn't need to worry about the costs too much. I know Pakistan has got some experience that can be put together to get soothing good out of it.

Edit: The number also seems a bit excessive.
