What's new

where are China's 18 armies stationed?

So they are all near Beijing and Shanghai. The Japanese shall know that.

You are wrong again. I am just curious.
The conflict in the 1980´s ended undecided. Learn history, you loser!
Seems you always refer to Japan, we don't border with Japan, the war between china and Japan will confine to Air and Sea, and missile... you don't think high of Japan like think too high of yourself, first see the map.

But from below map, 41 army also are A army, except Beijing Military region, all have one A army, 41 army is Guangzhou A army.

No,41 army is B.
42 army is B too,but with A army Establishment for taiwan

These ZBD86A IFV really WEAK !!!
Yeah, but whether it is A army, can't just judged by its some equipment, and, the best weapon always be equiped to North army, like 38, 39 army, although we have more defence expenditure, but that's still not enough for huge PLA, especally now, we focus on Airforce and Navy, the ground army still lack of money to let all troops get the last equipment, just my opinion.

I still think 41 is A army, each Military region need one. And 41 army I think is for Viet.

I guess I can draw a conclusion on this thead: Mr. Viet want a chinese battle group to be relocated near India to unload the burden and pressure on Vietnam, and spread out Chinese forces. the simple question of "where are China's 18 armies stationed" end up with China -Vietnam knife throwing again...LMAO

You are right. That´s unfair.

India army is much stronger than Vietnam. Why not relocate some of your armies to the border of India? What´s about the other potential threats in the eastern border? If I was China, I would think again.

This is not a reason

The reason for 42 is B army is that 15th Airborne Corps is A army

enemies entering into tibet will feel difficult to breath and frozen into ice in the end and who entering from the west border will lost in the desert.only enemies from the south will feel entering into the heaven from the virgin forest.
so ,in one word :the CLIMATE

It has been fully proved through practice test that Third-line troops can defeat the Indian army and Second-line troops can defeat the Vietnam army.

a) Indian army are unworthy oppoents
b) too costly to have a battle group in very remoted area such Tibet plateau :coffee:
c) we're trying to cozy India because of trade surplus
d) Vietnamese Army are tough to handle as Mr. Niceguys said, we have shamefully lost in 1979
e) Our army get used with warm, nice and fresh air region, noway they want to be in the freaken cold, oxigen lacked high altitude plateau. they will hate our gorvernment if we force them to be there:feminist:

I hope these can provide enough of explainations

so

true, vietnam army showed better than the indians in the past.
my rank of the armies that we have fighted against after 1949
1 US
2 Soviet Union
3 Vietnam
4 India
5 South Korea

You got this totally wrong. All of China's 18 group armies can move to the your border within 24h if necessary. For some it takes only 4 to 5 hours through railway.

You don´t answer the question why I want to know. Why China places two army groups toward Vietnam, and none to India? The western border is empty. Zero.

If taking the 13. and 42. army groups into consideration, then China deploys nearly 4 armies that can attack Vietnam. Correct?

Where the armies are stationed are irrelevant, especially since PLA's mobility has grown ten fold in the past twenty years. In between 1980-1989, China regularly rotation its army formation against Vietnam, with units as far as Beijing. The aim was to give them combat experience to modernize the military. All the general level staff in PLA today were platoon, company or battalion commanders back then.

How long would it take to move an army group from the Vietnamese to Indian border? 2 weeks or more?
India could take half of China before you were able to move the troops to there.
