I had been extensively studying Chinese Beidou satellite system out of interest and some previous affiliation with Satellite and terrestrial navigation systems, and often i find very knowledgeable articles on the system by this Iranian PHD guy stationed in Sweden.

My Question is that is Iran a licensed Partner in Beidou? Because Pakistan is...

If Iran has access to Military grade Beidou signals and hardware then all the claims about Iranian Missile accuracy are very much believable..
Can an Iranian Member find out if Iran Military has anything to do with Beidou...?

I can only dream about China, Iran and Pakistan being part of satellite program. If such program exists I am the happiest person on earth.

I think a while ago I read something about Iran being involve in some space program with China.
if true then that is great news :D

Would like to hear if there is any progress. There seems to be a natural alliance in the making. Would love to see Russia fall in as well

No :undecided:

Hopefully we will have our GPS type system in the future :)

That's a huge undertaking, there are only 2 fully functional GNSS. Even Beidou is not 100% complete.

How far in the future?

It really depends, at some point in the near future Iran space program will sky rocket. just wait for our new launch sites to be made.
perhaps a Iran-Pakistan cooperation will happen :yahoo:

But why is Pakistan a partner in BeiDou??
It does not come under it's coverage.....
Though it will come under the coverage of Compass, but that's a few years away right now.....
