India Is The World's Only Counter Weight To China

How am I making fun of my country.

Start behaving maturely on this forum, there was an Indian member claiming that India was going to be the next SuperPower. LOL,LOL,LOL....:disagree::lol::D

lol, and I am going to say it again, Pakistan and India are in the SAME LEAGUE, SINCE BOTH ARE CONSIDERED REGIONAL POWERS!

Other than boasting about economy! Pakistan has advantages over India, Pakistan does not have so many internal rebellions!
Pakistan does not have millions upon million of poor people. In fact India has more poor than Sub-Saharan Africa.

Grow up, and see the realities!

Last i checked pakistan was declared failed state, I never heard of pakistan being some sort of super duper power. please elaborate more if you can.

you need to grow up kid, a country which is hardly growing with pace of 2 %, asking for money here and thr is regional power for you ???

come on dude. whom you are trying to fool

Pakistan and India ARE In the same league, Both Pakistan and India are REGIONAL POWERS.
India is not a GREAT POWER.

PakShah is right here actually. Both India and Pakistan are included in the lists of regional powers, and middle powers.

Are you going to cry now?......*sigh*

Not at all.

The job still remains unfinished, the operation is in shambles, and, in a sad show of frustration, even the Big Daddy is pointing fingers of blame all over the place.

Pakistan 2
India/US 0

Big Daddy USA had to step in and do the job itself in Afghanistan because outsourced India was unable to beat little ol' Pakistan in the proxy war.

Yeeesss.... Give in to the DARK side....

Admiral Mike mullen was right....:D
next time please don't you dare to cry that Uncle Sam humilate and spanked us good for Haquanis and ISI.

Same league ??You guys have beaten us in afghanistan ?China has beaten in IRAN ,Myanmar ??Damn!please what are you smoking these days ??Look pakistan is powerful but not upto the standards of regional power to become ,for that you should have an economy and influence in world politics. which is missing .Even north korea have huge military and they also quiet powerful but that doesn't mean they are regional power like Soko and Japan.

Stop regurgitating nonsense. Economy alone won't get you to "SuperPower" status. There are many other factors like "Power projection."

Can India project it's power to its neighbor other than Bhutan and Bangladesh?
Pakistan can project it's influence in Afghanistan, a country much larger than Bhutan and Bangladesh combined!

Regional powers shape the polarity of a regional area. Typically, regional powers have capabilities which are important in the region but do not have capabilities at a global scale. There are slightly differing definitions of what makes a regional power. The European Consortium for Political Research defines a regional power: "A state belonging to a geographically defined region, dominating this region in economic and military terms, able to exercise hegemonic influence in the region and considerable influence on the world scale, willing to make use of power resources and recognized or even accepted as the regional leader by its neighbours".[1]

The German Institute of Global and Area Studies states that a regional power must:

be part of a definable region with its own identity
claim to be a regional power (self-image of a regional power)
exert decisive influence on the geographic extension of the region as well as on its ideological construction
dispose over comparatively high military, economic, demographic, political and ideological capabilities
be well integrated into the region
define the regional security agenda to a high degree
be appreciated as a regional power by other powers in the region and beyond, especially by other regional powers
be well connected with regional and global fora.[2]
Some states may be regarded as both a great power and a regional power. Likewise some states may be regarded as a middle power and a regional power.

Potential superpowers
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The present-day governments that have been claimed to become (or to remain) superpowers during the 21st century.
The list of governments.
United States of America (Current superpower)[1][2]
Brazil
China
European Union
India
Russia
A potential superpower is a state that is speculated to be, or to be in the process of becoming, a superpower at some point in the 21st century. Presently, it is widely considered that only the United States currently fulfills the criteria to be considered a superpower.[3][4] States most commonly mentioned as being potential superpowers are Brazil,[5][6][7] China,[8] the European Union (a supranational entity),[9] India and Russia,[10][11] based on a variety of factors. Collectively, these five potential superpowers and the United States comprise 66.6% of global nominal GDP, 62.2% of global GDP (PPP) and more than 50% of the world's population.
However, the record of such predictions has not been perfect. For example, in the 1980s, many political and economic analysts predicted that Japan would eventually accede to superpower status, due to its large population, huge gross domestic product and high economic growth at that time.[12][13] Though still the world's third-largest economy as of 2011, Japan has faced an ongoing period of weak growth since the "lost decade" of the 1990s, eroding its potential as a superpower.

Yes Chinaji, PS is right.Pakistan is indeed super mega important.

I agree Liquid xiansheng. ("Ji" means "Mr" right?)

Though since I detect a hint of sarcasm, maybe you could explain why else America and China are so interested in becoming allies with Pakistan. If not for their enormous geostrategic importance.

Why don't we invite the senior members of defence.pk, this is an interesting debate,

Are Pakistan and India in the SAME LEAGUE? My arguments are quite convincing, because India and Pakistan are both on the list of REGIONAL POWERS and MIDDLE POWERS.

Pakistan can project it's influence in Afghanistan, a country that is much larger than Bangladesh and Bhutan combined!

Why does India consider Pakistan to be it's arch-rival? Indian members shouldn't embarrass themselves!

The guy who put India as a potential Superpower is contradicting himself because India is not in the list of Great Powers!

Admiral Mike mullen was right....:D

Not at all. The war between Taliban/NA in post-Soviet Afghanistan was a proxy war by Pakistan/India. Once the Taliban were in power and India was ejected, Pakistan's job was done.

Everything since is a local Afghan affair.

Is this what you call the US? Big daddy? Lmao..:pop:

Expected a better response from you. Read the sentence again.
