What's new

Protests in Cuba !

That’s why China is commendable. It has molded the system per its unique needs instead of becoming a communist dogmatic state or the opposite.

It’s neither full communist nor full capitalist. It’s a unique Chinese system:

The state owned and worker owned corporations compete in the market. But the profits do not go to private owners of monopoly capital, they go to the people and employees who own them. It is still "publically owned means of production".

There's a reason why China instills anxiety in certain countries, especially among their owning and ruling classes. The excuse was always "you need billionaires to build companies! Who will be the management value added?" "Who wants to work if not because they need money to survive?"

Huawei and Haier are 2 answers among many.

That’s why countries and governments should evolve and not get stuck by either communist or capitalist dogma to the extreme.

Pick and choose what works best for each country’s unique situation and evolve to answer new challenges.

Like the speaker in the video I shared said. Meta-narratives should be abandoned.

You can think what you want from ten thousand mile away.

As I said, let those protesting Cubans come to India and live here for five years. They will go back wishing for Communism.

But the fact on the ground is that both the Cuban government and people have decided to leave communism behind.

What government ?

Below is the view of the Cuban government as given in the article in the OP :

“We are calling on all the revolutionaries in the country, all the Communists, to hit the streets wherever there is an effort to produce these provocations,” he said in a broadcast to the nation.

"¡A la Revolución la defienden los revolucionarios! Y entre los revolucionarios, los comunistas vamos al frente. Jamás como élite, sino en calidad de fuerza consciente y comprometida." @DiazCanelB "¡La calle es de los revolucionarios!".#SomosCuba#SomosContinuidad#Cuba🇨🇺 pic.twitter.com/6qgG03mR07

The government is doing it slowly like China and Vietnam and has already allowed private ownership.

1. Even the West has been speaking for years of Open Source designs in computing and related technology.

2. But private Ownership can be allowed to an extent but not fully. I will give an example from India. There are 30 million legal cases pending in Indian courts and many of these cases will be of land / property / estate. Some of them will have violence being waged among the disputees. Now if land wasn't a private entity but a Commons, a thing owned by the system and lent out to individuals and groups as per need, there wouldn't have been heartburn and violence involved. Certainly no 30 million pending court cases.

3. About my view on economics please read this thread of mine where I propose a new economic system. Here I don't preclude private ownership. There can be workers' commune where all the workers are owners ( like @FairAndUnbiased is talking about ). In fact in the company I hope to start in the field of computing all the workers / employees will be owners. In my view a company, be it a jewelry shop or a Vertical Farm, can be ultimately owned by the people but the managing committees can get involved in things like bulk acquisition of plant nutrients or loan for purchase of computers.

Stop claiming you know Cuba better than Cuban. Let them come to their own solutions.

More like reactionaries from the status quo.

In the end they are also moving away from dogmatic communism.

Again each country is unique. They will evolve and let them evolve system that best suits their unique circumstances. There should be no interventions and foreign meddling.

Not from the radicle capitalist “regime changers” or from radicle communist “revolutionaries”.

Everyone should stop claiming.
I know what’s better for another country and what system should rule it’s people.

Stop claiming you know Cuba better than Cuban. Let them come to their own solutions.

1. The Cuban President knows something better than you.

2. Succeeding Western governments should have stopped lecturing non-West countries on what does "Democracy" mean.

In the end they are also moving away from dogmatic communism.

What do you mean ?

Again each country is unique. They will evolve and let them evolve system that beat suits their unique circumstances. Their should be no
Interventions and foreign meddling.

But surely concepts like Direct Democracy and abolishment of the traditional money system are something that every society can adopt.

By the logic. So did Batista.

In any case. Like China and Vietnam they are turning into something else. Though slowly.

What do you mean ?
Reforms to transform them away from dogmatic communism.

But surely concepts like Direct Democracy and abolishment of the traditional money system are something that every society can adopt.
No meta-narratives please! Stop being the chacha and mama of the entire world and it’s people.

By the logic. So did Batista.

AFAIK he was a Western puppet.

Like ?

And watch this tour vid of Cuban street food and of restaurants. Private business allowed.

But then the late Hugo Chavez adapted the Libyan Direct Democracy system ( "Jamahiriya" ) for Venezuelan situations. I think I have already linked you to how the system works. Leave alone Venezuela, Elon Musk wants Direct Democracy for even near-future Mars settlements.

Do you see the flaw in your logic in the previous post? Each country should be allowed to eve love on its own.

Read for yourself. Like I said they will evolve into something else.

Again. Trying to impose what you think is right. Let every country have its own choice. Not Hugo, not Libyans, not Elon. Every country should evolve on its own, at its own pace. Like China did.

lmao this is factually untrue. Mexico, India, Venezuela, Somalia and Mozambique are all capitalist.

30% of Venezuela's economy came from the government in 2007.

Contrast to the US where 44% of GDP comes from the government in 2020 and was 42% in 2010.

For comparison in China 27% of GDP is from state owned enterprises and direct government spending is 37%, making the public sector 64% of the economy.

I notice you don't dare criticize China and somehow criticize Vietnam which is 1. far richer than any country in South Asia, and 2. still run by CPV to a degree of success that would make any politician in Pakistan rage with jealousy. They'd even have more money for their Swiss Bank accounts with a bigger pie but foolishly keep everyone poor thinking it gets them more control... well, you know how it goes.

And it's hilarious that you are trash talking Russia. Russia has the same population as Pakistan. Can you say with a straight face that Pakistan has even 1% of the achievements of Russia?
They all abandoned Communism when they relieazed it doesn't work. So did Russia
That’s why China is commendable. It has molded the system per its unique needs instead of becoming a communist dogmatic state or the opposite.

It’s neither full communist nor full capitalist. It’s a unique Chinese system which evolved and borrowed even from its historic system to come up with solutions needed by its people:
It's a capatalist country where the government controls a lot of the economy

They all abandoned Communism when they relieazed it doesn't work. So did Russia

It's a capatalist country where the government controls a lot of the economy

This is factually untrue. I am surprised by just how wrong someone can be and instead of admitting fault when corrected on simple facts, doubles down on aggressive ignorance.

time to invade cuba? i guess it’s be easier than iran

There is no USSR anymore.

It's better for USA interests let the communism in Cuba, as a example to Latin America countries of what would happen if they vote leftists parties.

The prove is big press agencies are not taking advantage of this killing to make pressure over the Cuban regime.

Cuban people are alone in this.
