PAF to get land in Nasirabad for air base

On YouTube, a lot of people are uploading videos on why PAF might get J-11Bs.

Is there anything going on?

you will still not be able to win any hearts even after doing all of the above. the hatred runs to deep, even among those who got govt jobs and moved to Islamabad looooooong ago.

different group, you seriously need to stop bundling everyone together. one is a political party, that carried out violence much like ppp and mqm. the other group were proper anti state elements looking to overthrow the current system and put an alternate one in its place.

those who will be used will be bla or ttp types.
There is no different group! The recruits are interchangeable with the difference being the TTP and BLA will have higher criminal intake(rapists, robbers, target killers). The more time this country lives in this illusion that the same angry young man using a stick to smash car windows after being riled up by TLP is not going to pick up a rifle to attack or blow himself up - the less time it has as a cohesive state or nation.

YT is a cesspool of misinformation-I wouldn't put any stock into rumours. It ain't true till it's official

With three bases all in a row the notion this new based is to cover western and eastern does not hold as this new based on just 36km west of shahnaz its alternate to Shabaz nothing to do with Baluchistan and western front it’s still too off to cover Most of Baluchistan

There are other bases popping up will let news media to disclose but this one is not covering the coast or western front

May be the purpose of this land is to develop a weapons range similar to Thal or Somiani, rather than an air base for aircraft in Shahbaz and Samungli bases?

"And member since 2006 with an average of 2 replies/year when do I get promoted to a Pilot Officer? :-) "

Remember land requirements of this base is 26000 kanal .. so it will full operational airbase

Perhaps the flooding risk to Jacobabad requires moving the base. The 2010 floods were stated as a danger to the base if I remember correctly, from media reports.

during a survey in Sargodha, i found an abandoned air strip at opposite end of city from the airbase.
There's a strip left by the British ( infact there are many in the area ) or are you talking about the emergency runway over Faisalabad road?

I just came across one. I felt it was abandoned as there was vegetation sprouting from the strip.

Well such fields are all over Pakistan I guess, there's one near Mianwali as well and another near new Islamabad airport.
