Indian election results

Generally speaking, I think the Communist Party of China is an excellent political party.

Most of the time, CCP handles state affairs according to the opinions of the majority of the people.
It does have its benefits in areas of governance and policy implementations, also helps when you are homogeneous in composition little to divide people in terms of race, creed and ethnicity.
But the drawback is that China's government often does not listen to public opinion in its overseas policies.
Chinese people are angry about the US trade war with China, but the government's attitude towards the US is far from strong enough. Sometimes it feels very aggrieved
In my opinion, China has done well till now to stand its ground by reciprocating in kind to US tariffs. Eventually though you may have to make some concessions like streamlining business practices, IP rights and subsidies to match international standards.
that enterprise was nationalized locally,
That is a logical consequence of the extensive state involvement in public and private sector enterprises.

Thanks for taking your time to let us know about how you feel about various aspects of your country's polity and economy. Appreciated.

No offense but if you hate Pakistan so much and don’t really care what happens to it why do you post on Pakistan Defence Forum?

Pakistan is our neighbour and whatever happens there affects us also, so of course we are interested, regardless of whether we hate it or like it. Whats more important is why a Nigerian like you cares? your country is thousands of miles away and you have nothing in common with people of our region. Do you see me worrying about Nigeria, Somalia/Libia, Chad, Sudan etc? No.

End of indian secularism end of living like free citizen of indiamore chaos is going to come to india

Lol, true. Mostly see him loitering around in the Indian section. Kind of a giveaway, it is..

I am not in Nigeria, I have Pakistani and previously Indian friends so am just keen on reading and interacting on this. Don’t you discuss stuff happening in other parts of the world that interest you like US or Europe?

In any case constructive discussion is fine but when you have pointless comment like ‘I hate Pak’ but will comment repeatedly on here it makes little sense

Oh yes, it is terrible someone comments on something that interests them, in that case no one from outside Middle East should comment on that forum either :yahoo:

My best expectations have all come true
1 BJP 300, NDA 350
2 Delhi 7-0 to BJP (really hate AAP even more than Cong)
3 Uttarakhand 5-0 to BJP (My home state)
4 Bangalore Central BJP (My constituency) + Loss of Prakash Raj (failed actor who tried to be too big for his boots)
5 Smriti in Amethi
6 Kanhaiyaa Losing (freeloader who has not done an honest day's work) @jamahir
7 Digvijay Losing (cant call the largest and most peaceful community as terrorist and release a book peddeling Pakistani Propoganda)
8 WB 15+ (Will increase in assembly elections)
9 UP 60+ (Beating the caste arithmatic)
10 Inroads in Odisha (Another state where they can grow)

Well, living in Canada i too have friends from pretty much all over the world, but i don't really care into the specifics of what happens in their countries. Sure, i would love to visit their countries for tourism and love to know about the interesting places in those countries, some info about their culture etc, but I would never go into minute details like you. I travelled for almost an year around South America but i would never join a forum where Colombian members are arguing with Venezuelans, Brazilians arguing with Bolivians etc. For the specifics, i only care about South Asia(where i was born) and Canada, where i live. It is very odd to say the least, for someone like you to be so concerned with our affairs.

I didn’t go into minute details. It was a comment by someone saying they can’t stand Pak etc yet they post on here. I think thats more illogical than what I said!

A Nigerian having a passing interest on threads concerning India is understandable, but someone fixated on India enough to get riled up at the slightest hint is kind of hilarious. Ever thought of applying for Pakistani/Indian citizenship?

Its just a phase of interest but then an Indian poster attacked me a few week before so I came back for more :-). I have posted on the China & Bangladesh thread too and Middle East with good discussion, but here it seems they don’t like it!

Thanks and same to you. :enjoy:
Hopefully we will do better next time. :-)
haha I'm not aligned with any party and I couldn't vote this time as my name got removed for mysterious reasons.

Anyway I think Kerala is the happiest state in India right now. Communists are happy they didn't make way for BJP, Congress+ are happy they won 19 of 20. BJP workers are happy they won absolute majority in center and can rule alone.

West Bengal especially an excellent result. Definitely they should go all out for assembly election and finally kick that lady out and start NRC process in WB. Law and order situation need to be improved as much as possible from federal level there....since that lady thrives on goons, thugs, illegals, extremists and anarchy. Maybe agitate few things to get her to respond in such way that brings president rule. Lets see. It will affect state govt....but will not affect lok sabha representation....its a good strategy to start exploring.

There was also a good inroad made into telengana around the traditional NW corner (which voted TDP+BJP a lot...and now BJP has gained it there alone). Will keep KCR on his toes.

Overall very satisfied with the result (people broke across caste and religious lines in huge number ,showing India becoming lot more socially mobile in wanting results from humble chaiwallah........ not promises and same identity politics as before from silver spoon dynasts).

Karnataka state govt will be under serious pressure and could break soon.

I wonder if negotiation will commence bit later to try bring in YSR congress and/or BJD to get super (2/3rds) majority. That way constitution amendments come into view depending on Rajya Sabha scene.

I am very happy with India direction (didnt think it could happen when UPA returned in 2009). Modi actually get to reap benefits and improve upon his 1st term rather than what happened with UPA I (where they got the benefits of Vajpai NDA policy for a full term and rode on it).

President rule is a double edged sword. It'll give an opportunity for the mad ol lady for claiming victim-hood and some people would buy into it. If she continues to do what she does, then she'll soon crumble. If she had allowed all those rallies then she might've been in far more worse situation than now.

Yes I defer to the cadre on ground, they know best (lot of them made impromptu alliance with leftie cadre in unofficial combined battle against TMC). Amit Shah has quite a pulse on these things.

Yep, that's what the numbers say, the leftie cannot survive the TMC goons, kinda ironic given they kill BJP members in state like Kerala, political killings.

Indeed Shah might have some grand plans involving the disgrunted TMC's. The lady is unstable, I kinda thought if things went south and she gets to be the PM it'll be big bad news. She still have hopes for it, and now looks bleak.
