23rd March PAF geared up for the spectacular show

Hi,

Paf takes combat duty pilots from the base and puts them in the aircraft for situations like the 23rd march parade air show.

But then there are other countries---which have pilots & aircraft designated just to perform at air shows---like the US.

Some countries have pilots designated for air shows only---.

Pakistan cannot afford to have the luxury of this kind do we?

We do only if they realise this air force belong's to the people and not to the air force themselves solely. You can promote your organisation only when you're in the mood of helping others. PAF unfortunately does not have that much of public relations with their society.......For example, I do not recall PAF Sherdils aerobatics team (bearing in my mind my father was Sherdils No.3, so this criticism revolves strongly from his time and experience) ever interacting with the local crowds, or visiting a local hospital....other air forces around the world would go visit schools to inspire the upcoming generations. Instead for most part, in Pakistan you are inspired by yearly songs.

There was a time when there was interaction with the public but I am told that was in the first 2 decades of the air force's founding years.

A good way would be if and when a display pilot is done flying, he or she gets to come over to the local crowd for meet-and-greet sessions, if not with the adults but at least to the enthusiastic children......that F-16 belongs to them just as much as the pilot who borrows it for those few hours and minutes. I rambled too much...but that is just my opinion....I may be right or could be wrong....

It's same like a circuss lion is more trained to show off than a hunting lion.

Well said, Interaction with the people and society is key to inspire the next generation, I remember when SoloTurk visited Mushaf back in 2014/15 it was looked like a pure public event after their brief interaction with the crowd, same thing lacked from PAF.

Yes . all Respectable Member Dont Forget Air Chief Sohail Aman
Affects to Start Air Shows in Karachi after Long long Time. Citizen of Karachi did not see F-16s in Karachi for very long time. I was at Clifton then PAF F-16s come and Citizen of Karachi make happy noise to see F-16s Fly Past. Its very pleasant movement I cant tell you in words I was sitting in PAF staff and Chief Guest and all people stand up from their seats and come to Sea View wall and looking F-16s forget the Chief Guest and others Hahaha you understand that how its happy feeling. And its before Karachi Aerospace only F-7p and mirages and now Jf-17 thunders. Thanks a lot ACM Sohail Aman for Karachi General People and I meet him he is very kind and Pleasant person much different then other past ACMs

You are right and that type of interaction existed till the late 90s (or maybe it was just because I had elders in PAF and army that people were tolerant of my queries) especially on airforce day when even Jawad Mango could go up to a static display and ask questions to the officers standing there. Then Sept 11th, WoT & TTP happened....

bachi achi hai
Tharki kadi nai maarda

Thank you for the sarcasm. :)
I posted the image as i received it not paying too much attention to the Three tanks normally used for ferry missions or spot a thick flight plan folder on the right edge of the dashboard. :D
I think he meant the hills not being there.

My apologies for the confusion.....I meant for having 2 Viper demos at Islamabad on the same day....
No need to apologise dude, in an open debate there are always errors, misinterpretations and misunderstandings, hence it shouldn't be a scoring point for the others.
Here's my video of the 2015 full dress rehearsals for flypast and aerobatics....notice how the Viper demo looks basic to the one actually performed on the actual day... and do note the smoke winder flare trying to fire up.
