Selex has been a reliable source for a lot of products for both PAF & PA .. With their combat systems for AZ MBT,and avionics for PAF..

PAF doesn't need it anyway. Putting AESA on F-16 would be too expensive.
Plus we are getting J-10B and J-31.

Sir no offense. But the PAF planners have thought of keeping PAF a simple force operating only two or at max three platforms in future. And categorically it has been decided that The J 10 purchase is off. Because it will bring a different class of engine and airframe into question. We will need more money and training for maintenance. and the capability is pretty much what we are getting from F-16 and the new JF-17. J-31 can be an option 10 years down the line. That too if India goes for Pak-FA or F-35. They are planning a force with 100+ F-16 and 200+ Thunders. for the next decade.

The OHPs are a no brainer. They are great ships that once upgraded with Turkish help would prove to be an effective Surface warfare asset. And since these were already provisioned for via EDA.. all you need to pay for is the refurbishment cost.

Great Ships equipped with what ? Our current OHP does not carry any Anti-Ship or SAM missile !

I know its out of topic but.....
They are junk when we get 'em stripped compared to other competitors. But, we still need 'em and should get 'em(5 are on hold). They can patrol relatively closer to coastline under protected skies and hunt subs and pirates.

Even our latest ships' SAMs are recycled old technology short rangers.

V2 is a joint development of KLJ7 and used on BLK I.. Probably due to financial restraints.. But an AESA for JF has been confirmed by the project director..

Thats the plan sir. We will all see. Plus PAF is also dreaming of involving China into a fifth Gen project of Their own. Guess no one heard about that. But thats a very very long shot.
