Advantages and disadvantages of the FC-1 / JF-17 for BAF

We are already selling it to a lot of vendors and when the time comes we will teach a much needed lesson to bengali indian stooges like u,ur country has betrayed the world of islam by siding n becoming lackeys if mushriks n believe me u will pay for that filthy trators, we dont want dhaka back, we will just bomb u to oblivion, wait for it, will happen for sure..

This is getting ridiculous. Enough with '71. If both sides dwell on the past, it will be more difficult to face the future. Stop derailing the thread with your childish nationalistic hyperbole.

useless, Bangladesh cannot afford the political mess to buy jf-17 as it is associated with Pakistan

current govt whole legitimacy is based upon anti Pakistan sentiment

Our government and society is anti-Pakistan.Not the military. Our military has high power over the government ( BD has a long history of military coups ) and is quite anti-Indian ( Rejecting any proposals for Indian weaponry ).
Almost 70% of Bangladeshi military equipment are Chinese and Bangladesh operates alot of Pakistani weapons including HJ-8,Baktar Shikhan,KRL-122 and we are upgrading our Type-59 tanks to Type-59 BD,our version of the Pakistani Al-Zarrar using kits from Pakistan nd China.

Very few chance of JF17 goes to BAF, cause Myammar had ordered it. I think they will go for J10b/c and Su30MK2. When you consider a weapon, it must have the ability to overwhelm your potential rival.

But Myanmarnese pilots are not even close to being called as "trained pilots" due to the current condition of the country and obseleteness of their equipment.
Oh,and BAF pilots trained in the J-10A but they didn't like it - they wanted to stick to Russian platforms and so the upcoming fighters would be MiG-29SMT/MiG-35 or Su-30mk/mkk ( The gov't showed interest in Su-30,but they prefer MiGs more though )

J-10B/C would be a great bird for BAF in near future.

will not happen, wings/58% will still be manufactured in Pakistan and assembly will happen in Pakistan
CAC is a corporation in a business agreement with PAC
BD has other options from china like J-10, advance trainer fighters like L-15(not much inferior than thunder) but not the thunder

China my not want to sell it's best 4th gen gen fighter to a country who is very friendly to India and can provide info and access to plane, true capabilities of which is till now not known to world.

Pakistan won't sell anything to Hasina.

Also not let China sell good capable defence stuff to BD either.

There is a HUGE differnece between MKI & MKK.

MKI is designed to have extreme air to air capability to dominate the air-space and maintain aerial superiority, while MKK is designed to achieve a larger payload, longer range and boasts wide range of Russian and Chinese AShMs,making it perfect for long range heavy maritime strike, and deep penetration strikes as well as having great A2A capability. To each their own needs.

And 70-80% of Bangladeshi military equipment are Chinese.Ironic, huh?

They don't have top of the line Chinese stuff, which other countries will like to look into to counter them, J-10 or JFT in BD means DACT availability to IAF against them adding good info and experience.

J10b/c can do the job.

thankyou for talking some sense into these people.

its funny how some poeple talk here... as if theyre in charge of the budget and what planes to get... and with such confidence too... these 13yo nowadays :/

close this thread nothing to discusss we wont buy jf17 for now

Although a good choice but Bangladesh will never buy JF17 due to political reasons, this thread is a waste of time

Plz Read what an MKI Is and Its radar Capability ( Hint : The Su-30MKI can function as a mini-AWACS as a director or command post for other aircraft. )
Secondly There is a HUGE Difference between Su 30 and Su MKI . There is a HUGE differnece between MKI & MKK.

Lastly India is NOT ASSEBLING. Its Manufacturing the MKI. Infact Several parts are "100%" Indian like Mission computers, RWR , Its BVR and ALCM package )
Assembly job, that's it.

Nope. Tooling, dies and forges for MKI all present at HAL.

If you don't know anything about the subject, best to shut up.
Tooling dies forges is assembly job. Aerodynamic design/FBW/ engine/ radar/ fire control/ weapon system are the core.

if you can wholly produce MKi, you shall attend BAF's bidding as well.

Haha, just shows your stupidity. A forge produces base level components. That is not assembly by any definition.

Stick to your cheap 5 cent CPC propaganda topics for your own sake.

Aerodynamic design/FBW/ engine/ radar/ fire control/ weapon system are the core.

Sure. Does not take away the fact that HAL manufactures from scratch much of the MKI, not just assembly.

if you can wholly produce MKi, you shall attend BAF's bidding as well.

No one said anything about wholly producing. It was a correction for your dumb and false statement (or just bad CPC definition) that its a pure assembly job.

If BAF does choose the SU-30 MKX version for its 8 aircraft, various parts for it will definitely come from HAL Nashik given thats where this line of fighters airframes production, engine parts is located for the region and the irkustk line has closed down after the malaysian order was completed...and BD will have to pay well beyond its means to get it started again.

Only India currently overhauls the SU-30 MKI series and derivatives (like MKM) as a result as well.
