Pakistan,s education score heat map

Karachi's score is 60-69 because of the pathans and balochs staying here.
In 60s Urdu speaking community had a literacy rate of over 70%, which is probably over 90% by now.

Nearly all of fata is red

Easier said than done Tribal people don't want schools in their regions
Why do you think that ??
- Most of the tribal students are studying in main cities, why?? Bcz there is no proper system of schools, colleges & universities and if you visit colleges + universities in Punjab/ kpk then you will find a lot of tribal students studying on scholarships & self,if they were against education then why would their Fathers send them here ?? Bro, You can blame govt for not providing quality education in every city of Fata but blaming tribal people that is absolutely wrong :-)

Old map i guess.
Check these out:Mapping education in Pakistan 2015 - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

This is not a correct map, the districts are not properly labeled, compare it with this, latest one i found. GB is totally messed up. Compare it with the link i gave you.
@fakhre mirpur , dude delete this thread or edit the OP, it's a wrong map.

I sort of agree with you bura na manana

Serious work needs to be done in Pashtun regions of kpk, kohistan, fata and balochistan

More Green color near Indian border. Expand this green color towards the west.
Oh quit ur dramas, ajk literacy has nothing to do with indian border.
Stop trolling in every thread indians.

well i think the reason why literacy rate is low is cause the district of karachi includes many villages(goths) too, otherwise the city proper has a higher literacy rate.

BTW Baloch aren't "staying" here, most of them are natives here.

Azad Kashmir literacy rate 75%+

Interesting data. Why is there such a disparity between the northern parts of the country and southern? Resources? But Sind and Baluchistan should have resources to cater for their population.

Culture

Sereiki areas, southern kpk, tribal areas, baluchistan and sindh excluding karachi seriously lag behind. Some common features that these regions have.

- Lack of government writ for reasons ranging from feudalism/tribalism to being geographically isolated parts of the country to being areas subjected to terrorist attacks regularly. The latter two are especially true for the tribal areas and balochistan.

- lack of urbanisation. The biggest urban hubs of pak are in upper punjab and karachi and.urban centres usually have higher literacy due to easier availability of schools. This is naturally not the case in AJK and GB but as a rule cities are able to provide basic services that villagers have to walk or travel long distances to thereby reducing the chances of these villagers using these services.

There might be.more relevant patterns betweeen these regions as well that I have missed.

Or probably the reason for low literacy are thousands of madrasas that were opened to churn out canon fodder. The raison d'êtere of Pashtun kids is waging Jihad, be it in Kashmir or Afghanistan. Open madrasas along the Durand line and schools along the Radcliffe Line, and then blame Pashtus for being uncouth belligerent people.

Good to see my ancestral land of AJK Pakistan leading the way. Hardly no crime, terrorism is absent and a high literacy rate. Let's hope the rest of Pakistan come through.
