With that being said, there are advantages to continued US presence in both UK and Germany. It stabilize Europe and keep these former arch enemies from becoming enemies once again. Germany get to have smaller Army and spend resurces on welfare instead. Also it act as deterrence to Russian influence. The US in return get great influence and goodwill plus close economic and cultural relationship with both nations.

The best solution for Ukraine is to be neutral/non-aligned but Zelenskyy had pushed to align with western Europe/America/NATO. He got played bad. Ukraine != NATO, no obligation to defend them.
