What's new

Featured Zaheer Ahmad Babar appointed new Chief of Pakistan Air Force

But character assassinating Haseeb Paracha and passing hints about the CAS is not disrespect?

For any one interested, let me tell them exactly what Haseeb Paracha's crime really was. Imran Khan and Bajwa had given them the mandate to lob bombs on empty areas. After having achieved this, PAF pilots then encroached within Indian airspace in order to draw them out. Had they merely followed Imran Khan's mandate, two Indian planes might not have been shot. But they went above and beyond that, and goaded the Indians. This is acknowledged by the Indians themselves that they were lured into a killbox, where through meticulous planning, EW aircraft awaited them along with long range F-16 hunters.

But there is more. What nobody seems to be discussing, is the fact that the Mission Planning Software on Pakistan's F-16s has been updated after Feb 27. Pakistan hasn't been given any high end military hardware related to F-16s, but the Mission Planning Software along with security updates were applied? Also, a Lockheed Martin employee was awarded for helping to safeguard American technology? Did Haseeb Paracha dupe, or otherwise influence the Americans who were monitoring the F-16s? Who knows what crimes this son of soil and our true hero is guilty of in the eyes of our enemies.

If you want to be offended, kindly take offence for the right reasons.

The topic here was about CAS and involved.HP. it didn't warrant to abuse PM and COAS as well but seems like a default mindset is all we have. There's a limit being critical as well. No one's attacking anyone.

. .

No announcements or revelations by the outgoing ACM.

Not every CAS can announce many things as these projects takes many years to be materialized. MAK carried on the projects envisioned by Sohail Aman whose tenure was a watershed event in recent history of PAF as he initiated the most ambitious project of national defence after our nuclear program. ACM Mujahid Anwar did mention Vision 2047 which will be culmination of what Sohail Oman initiated in 2017. For 30 years, PAF will be pursuing his vision.
From pure operational POV not announcing much on public platform also makes sense. We need surprise considering the asymmetric balance of power we have viz a viz IAF.

Btw can discussions regarding 27th Feb be in the relevant thread since it clutters the main topic at hand. No doubt some nice conversations were had here regarding it but not the best place for it.

No such orders were given, all the three services were given a free hand by IK and were told to bring down anything that crosses into Pakistan.
That's exactly wt the PAF did.

AM Haseebs mistake I have dwelled in detail in one of my previous posts.

F 16 operated from the confines of our own air space so any question of violation does not arise.

First of all, this Haseeb sahib argument has to stop now. People are slowly getting into side like HP was negligent or sleepy. People who explained, had the reason as how a professional Air Force works and whether HP or an angel, would have been reprimanded to explain but without any discount. NO matter how much you all are law abiding citizens, you violate the traffic rule, you get the ticket & pay it. No one here is accusing Haseeb Paracha for anything but this is how a professional & responsible force works. You are supposed to deliver for the task you are assigned, paid & trained and an inch of the wrong move cost you everything you may have done so far.

I am sorry to say but people not aware of professional conduct & experience starts to act like as if any armed forces branch is like our daily life and one will be crying over a harsh dealing. No,..... these men are trained to face it and face it bravely. No one ignores the fact that PAF was stretched on the night of 26th but that is what we are trained for and there shouldn't be no exception or excuse of stretch or this or that.... IAF breached the airspace even though that was for a minute or not but yes, it happened. We are not IAF or any other crying baby force..... this is PAF and there's no chance for the mistake which could have cost us our security & integrity.

If we are discussing the event of 26th Feb, some of us are gone way too wrong and if we are discussing the loopholes, some of us still slides down the black hole of negativity. HP has done so much for the nation and no one can doubt his dedication & hard-work. But when it comes to understand the event of 26th Feb, people having no idea of how things works in PAF, PA or PN; shall stay away as getting involved in such discussion can lead you to the whole wrong world and you will be lost with everything.

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar takes charge as new PAF chief

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Friday got its new head, after Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar was handed over the command of the force at a ceremony in Islamabad.

ACM Zaheer Ahmed Babar was given his new stars and the command sword by the outgoing Air Chief Mujahid Anwar Khan.

As part of tradition, the outgoing air chief reviewed a guard of honour on his last day in office. He was also given a salute by JF-17 fighter jets.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had approved the appointment of Air Chief Marshal Babar earlier this week.

Profile

The newly-appointed chief joined the PAF in April 1986 as a general duty pilot.
During his career, he has commanded a fighter squadron, a flying wing, an operational airbase and regional air command.

In his staff appointments, he has served as assistant chief of the air staff (OR&D), assistant chief of the air staff (Training-Officers) and additional secretary at the Ministry of Defence.

He is a graduate of the Combat Commanders’ School, Air War College and Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS) in the UK.

Before taking charge as the PAF chief he was serving at the Air Headquarters Islamabad as deputy chief of the air staff (Administration).

He was also awarded the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military).

It is expected that the new Chief of Air Staff (CAS) will lead a flypast in the Pakistan Day Parade on March 23.

. . . .
The conversation, pats on shoulder, and warmth shown by Sir Mujahid Anwar Khan has brought tears to my eyes. I have replayed this part over and over again.

Thank you for your service!
We will always love you Sir!

Pakistan Zindabad! Pakistan Paiyndabad!

The person told me that everyone wanted the army AD commander and PAF sector commander to have their bums up and beaten. Their was also a becharaPAF attachee in HQs who bore the brunt of the criticism on PAF. That attachee himself being a humble and sincere person was very depressed and was roaming about the offices without berret and shaggy hair. Everyone's eyes were red not with awe but with anger and vengeance
only those who did not know the other side of the story ended up doing so...those who knew had the utmost respect for the Men guarding our skies ....
following Pulwama attack our pilots were sitting in planes on tarmac, ready to intercept ... so bashing them was uncalled for...

Then that means almost the entire army for a whole day
