Z-10 or T-129 Atak or AH-1Z for the Pakistan Army?

Pakistan should choose T-129 because that will bring Turkey and Pakistan closer in strategic and political spheres. This could only be the beginning.

If Pakistan choses the other one. Both Turkey and Pakistan will loose on the longer term since we will be depended on others.

Hi

The MMW radar is a big step ahead.

The only advantage of Z-10 has over T-129 is the WZ16 engine (1500 KW).

let's hope that TAI comes up with a more powerful engine.

TAI is in talks with a foreign company to replace it's US engine to export Pakistan.

the French are the only ones who make a powerful enough engine to replace the CTS-800N.. or Perhaps Rolls Royce.
Not sure if Russian engines will work in it.

I think it might be the Japanese. They probably won't take Russian engines due to lacks at STANAG certificates. Rolls Royce maybe but the French Tiger platform is very similar to T-129. But again, French comes right after the US to prevent this deal. So, I'd say Korean or Japanese or South African as alternative.

Depends on compatibility. The Turks have not yet signed a deal with the Chinese on the SAM system.. but perhaps they might allow a chinese engine. Although the size of the Wz-16 engine. Although it is essentially a joint french-Chinese venture and might be compatible if Turbomeca can be called in for consultation.
