Until the Day Is Done Lyrics
Artist: R.E.M. Lyrics

The battle's been lost, the war is not won
An addled republic, a bitter refund
The business first flat earthers licking their wounds
The verdict is dire, the country's in ruins

Providence blinked, facing the sun
Where are we left to carry on
Until the day is done
Until the day is done

As we've written our stories to entertain
These notions of glory and bull market gain
The teleprompt flutters, the power surge brings
An easy speed message falls into routine

Providence blinked, facing the sun
Where are we left to carry on
Until the day is done
Until the day is done

A voice whispers "Son,
The blessed vision comes."
What have I done
What have I done

So hold tight your babies and your guns
Forgive us our trespasses, father and son

Providence blinked, facing the sun
Where are we left to carry on
Until the day is done
Until the day is done
Until the day is done
Until the day is done
Until the day is done
Until the day is done

as you get older you get mellower!

60s - in my teens it was Elvis, Beatles, Rolling-stones
mid-70s - when i went to the US it was AC/DC, Led Zeppellin, The Who and Rolling Stones, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
80s - Police, Rolling Stones, Chicago, Van Morrisson, Earth Wind & Fire, Allman Brothers, and so on
90s - started getting interested in the likes of Frank Sinatra, the Big Bands

of course there are hundreds of great bands and music but these come to mind.
nowadays i listen to a mix of these "classics" as i call them. i'm not very keen on the latest music. I've also started to like some local groups pf Pakistan like Junoon etc. good stuff!

Love This Song..Do Listen to it.

Missed these guys terribly through the years. Magical for one album- Blind Faith. 37 years later, Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood linked up in Chicago again and BLISTERED the stage.

It went over so well that they did a three night gig at Madison Square Garden exactly a year ago and are going out on the road this summer together.

From a great DVD, CROSSROADS 2007, here's Had To Cry Today. Crank it up!-
