You favourite European Style Military March

Really nice sounding for sure! Great find!

Do we know when this one was composed? It seems to have a bit of influence from the medieval music themes (like many of the military marches to be honest) like greensleeves...sped up to a march.


I always enjoyed this retro variant:


Sadly,I wasn't able to find more infos,but most likely in the XVIIIth century. They really had good military marches back then.

This one is of the Régiment de Saintonge. (Raised in the former province of Saintonge) The regiment notably participated in the Spanish war of Succession and the American war of independence,notably during the siege of Yorktown.
