Maybe because it is a hot point of dispute where a stupid neighbour has opened fronts for war 3 times already. You have to have good army presence there to protect your territory. Add the insurgency and militancy problems and the numbers are justified.

Well that is what our regime fails that we could have taken the opportunity of 4 wars fought with Pakistan to get that area touching Afghanistan but unfortunately they are very diplomatic, even with Pakistan.

India will break up before Pakistan does. India is over populated and 80% of its population does not get the governance it needs. You have no ideology, when your economy cycles into recession you will begin to break. I hope Pakistan funds militancy in India and lots of people die. Eye for an eye.

Because of the huge population, the economy will not fall, bcause the demand will always either be constant or high which leads to more production of good and the buying selling does not discontinue which gives more and more jobs.. You need to learn some basic principles of economics.
