There was a proposal in 1947 for there to be a united Bengal with the NE as well.

British governor and Jinnah agreed to it but Nehru and Patel said no.

I have seen you repeatedly seen you mentioning Tamil Nadu and other states as wanting independence. Most Chinese do not know where Lanka is. What they know is some Tamil problem in Lanka,and hence Lanka = India, Tamils in India want freedom according to their logic.
