Thats interesting. But as you said, the Bloombox would still require fossil fuel. That may be a drawback though the amount used would be much less than required for generating power through conventional means. Another fascinating aspect would be the use of Bio-Gas - yes the same gas generated by living beings.

In villages in India, Pakistan, China - countries with huge cattle populations, there is a quite revolution going on with the use of Bio-Gas. Manure and human waste is processed to generate biogas which can then be used to power cooking stoves and heating appliances. If such gas can be used to power the Bloomboxes, then the possibilities are immense.
