Haji check post was world's highest military check post but later on it's name was changed to Muhammad Saroosh Shaheed check post after the martyrdom of Capt.Muhammad Saroosh Shaheed at world's highest battle field in Siacheen.
Capt. Muhammad Saroosh Shaheed embraced martyrdom on 20th of August 1996.He belonged to Sialkot.He was alone on duty at Haji check post,when he got hit by enemy,his body fell into hundred feets deep glaciers.Pakistan Army aviation recovered his body after a long and tough operation.
