This fence is just one dimension of security. These remote places will also be manned or monitored by various otyer means. The fence serves as a reference point. Building a high wall at such a porous and difficult terrain is obviously a non-starter.

There are two layers of fences, the area will also be covered with mines and barbs.

Using ladders to go through double layer fencing is a very time-consuming process and it severely limits the amount of terrorists that can get through. Within a short amount of time, they will be easily detected and neutralized.

The first barrier is over 8ft high... than come rolls of razor sharp wites followed by another fence... than come CCTVs,motion detectors and ground surv radars ... followed by a fort every few miles.
