The Taliban are not a group but a conglomerate of groups. With nonexistent communication a group here or rhere is likely to take a line based on their own interpretation. It will take decades for them to come in line and srart acting as a unit. So these "differences" will emerge from time to time. It is important to not get too bogged down while not letting them dictate terms. It is recreshing to see that the-Afghan central setup is in continuous contact with the Pakistani setup do issues which arise from time to time( and they will arise) can be dealt with appropriately. At this time both parties need each other and we should help our brothers out without becoming a place mat with them walking all over us.In any case, even if we go by the news, given in the OP; things don't seem to be smooth on Af-Pak border. This all is very disturbing. Taliban are not behaving, as was being expected from them.
