World's first 4K Ultra-HD TV business is started in West China

Today, In China's west Sichuan province, Sichuan Telecom hold a press conference for its 4K Ultra-HD business in Chengdu. It announced to provide 4K services to its over 5 million FiOS users in Sichuan province. By the end of 2014, Sichuan Telecom has invested a total of ￥13 billion in the construction of fiber-optic network and expand it to 95% cities and main towns in Sichuan.

Besides that, a dozen of well-known TV manufacturers, communication equipment manufacturers and video content providers founded a 4K Ultra-HD association at the conference. They are Sichuan Telecom, Huawei, Changhong, Hisense, Skyworth, ZTE, UnionVoole, Samsung, Sony, BesTV, Sichuan radio and TV station, Chengdu radio and TV station, CNTV and etc.
