Sunnis and Shias fighting/killing each other and arguing whose version of islam is the best while the world moves on and laugh at them. This is music to our ears, so no surprise on this, just hope @Syrian Lion wont start saying its the 'evil' west is who is behind this pact between Sunni powerhouse Saudi(with its puppet Pakistan)/Turkey against Iran.

Pakistan should stay out like Turkey and develop economic power. Turkey wants to be an economic power without having to use force. The problem is that when you become an economic powerhouse certain jealous people will start causing problems for you. Turkey tries to unite people but Iran says to Turkey, don't do business with Azerbaijan, don't do business with Turkmenistan, etc. seriously I don't think if there is a nuke deal with Iran that the problems will be solved in the Middle East.

Yes, you have a good point. I think Iran has issues with Turkish economic resurgence and influence in central Asia because they can't have a piece of the pie and plus they fear that their influence in that region would decrease as a result.

Which is why i believe that there should be greater economic cooperation between Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, and Pakistan so as to eliminate any fears of isolation in any of these countries.

We all either develop together or continue to view each other with suspicion.

As for military .. we conducted joint naval exercises last year .. (Sent sub,FACs/missile boats and tankers)

* Pakistan is the most pro Iran society in the world according to PEW polls.

* Pakistan is a Sunni majority country which regularly elects Shia PMs and Presidents as well as commanders of Armed Forces.

* We have a 900km long border and centuries old trade relations with Iran going back to the days of the bronze age.

* Our language Urdu has a lot of Persian blend, so much so that our national anthem is in Farsi.

* Pakistan's relations with Iran may not be as good as our relations with Sudi Arabia, however they remain strong bilaterally and under ECO regional frame work. When Pakistan was a member of the UNSC, we voted for Iran on the nuclear issue.

SA and Iran are arms and legs for Pakistan. We are not going to pick sides. Our role is to keep SA and Iran from going to war.

Instead they are causing more trouble by supporting murderous Assad who killed over 300 000 people. Trying to trick us with transportation fees. Support insurgency throughout the region. If a country is willing to walk over dead bodies "to not loose influence" I'm hoping for the best. For greater coop, which everybody wants, you need sane entities. If it is black and white thinking. You won't have any allies. Iran is a huge destabilizing entity in the middle-east. One should achieve one's goals with non-aggressive competition in the frame work of decency, morals and values. Instead of cooperating as one we have to fight each other because some people can't bare the prosperity of another muslim country and "to not loose influence".

Don't laugh at Sunnis and Shias fighting. One day you could be at the receiving end. What makes you think Pakistan is a Saudi Puppet. Is UK a puppet of US ? Saudi Arabia is our friend and so is Iran and Turkey. Each of them has influence in Pakistan but there are limits to their influence. Even UK is a friendly country and it has some influence.
