Plz to who started this thread there was no reason for it... trolls will be here and already have in no time MODS plz close this thread no disrespect to anyone.

Another misconception which muslims convince each other to believe.

I guess i am gonna start a thread with the title starting with

"Hinduism is the best religon of the world"

And hope moderators and fasih khan wont have problems with that....

Now that's not correct. I have seen plenty of topics about glorification of Hinduism/bollywood/indian culture here in member club of Pakistani defence forum and Divya you started most of them :)

IMHO atheism/agnosticism are not religions but the lack of religion just like darkness is the absence of light- atheism is the absence of religion. And, if true, it is pretty scary that Scientology is a fast growing religion considering the nonsense the faith is based on.

Scintology is not even a religion, it is a dangerous cult, there is a bbc documentary exposing some of its practices.

Is the world really embracing Islam? That's news to me! I think it's more to do with the rapid population expansion of the Muslim communities around the world as Muslims consider birth control a sin. Is that true?

Lol and what do you mean by birth control? You are confusing family planning/birth control with abortion. You can control birth by using condoms/pills/abortion and not all of them are sins. Let compare this and tell me the difference

Hinduism

There is no ban on birth control in Hinduism.[12]
Some Hindu scriptures include advice on what a couple should do to promote conception—thus providing contraceptive advice to those who want it. However most Hindus accept that there is a duty to have a family during the householder stage of life, and so are unlikely to use contraception to avoid having children altogether. The Dharma (doctrine of the religious and moral codes of Hindus) emphasizes the need to act for the sake of the good of the world. Some Hindus, therefore, believe that producing more children than the environment can support goes against this Hindu code. Although fertility is important, conceiving more children than can be supported is treated as violating the Ahimsa (nonviolent rule of conduct).[13]
Because India has such a large and dense population, much of the discussion of birth control has focused on the environmental issue of overpopulation rather than more personal ethics, and birth control is not a major ethical issue.[12]

Islam

The Qur'an does not make any explicit statements about the morality of contraception, but contains statements encouraging procreation. The prophet Muhammad also is reported to have said "marry and procreate".[14]
Coitus interruptus, a primitive form of birth control, was a known practice at the time of Muhammad, and his companions engaged in it. Muhammad knew about this, but did not prohibit it. Umar and Ali, the second and fourth of the Rashidun caliphs, respectively, defended the practice.[14]
Muslims scholars have extended the example of coitus interruptus, by analogy, to declaring permissible other forms of contraception, subject to three conditions:[14][15]
As offspring are the right of both the husband and the wife, the birth control method should be used with both parties' consent.
The method should not cause permanent sterility.
The method should not otherwise harm the body.

Religious views on birth control - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Islam is not ancient religion and started in 613 CE and became second largest religion with 1.571 billion Muslims (2009) and was spread in all four continent of asia, africa, Europe etc in few centuries and you are saying its because of lack of birth control in mulsim families but we know that all major religions forbid abortion. I don't care about numbers but its fact that Islam play important role in lives of Muslims while most Christians i met so far don't even know anything about their religion and vast majority of Christians in west are Christian by name so i guess Islam will be the largest religion if we count the active follower of any religion :D

Nothing like that... there have been many muslim scholars to whom the world owes a lot.

The deeds of Abul Kalam at the time of partition and APJ abdul kalam azad to our own nation cannot be ignored.

These people are not the product of a Muslim country......

Had they been taught in a madrassa...they wouldn't be what they are today...

I think your definition of madrissa is backward and its based on what you see in Pakistani madrissa run by ignorant mullahs

but here is a list of Muslim scientist and most of them were well versed in Arabic/persian and were scholars of islam as well as done great job in different fields of science

faithfreedom.org is a good resource for those who are in the process of leaving / left islam. It is maintained by an ex-iranian guy(forgot his name)
A word of caution: Some of the posts there are quite unpleasant for practising muslims.

yea its doing good job of brain washing those muslims who dont have good knowledge of islam. I have read their many articles and their procedure is very much same of Dr zakir naik. The only difference is in their intentions as one is using his argument to bring peoples towards God while the other one using it to take peopels away from God by using same scriptures..

If these scientist were taught according to the pure Islamic way(i.e studying only Qur'an), then they couldn't have been scientists in the first place.....

In order to progress you have to go beyond Qur'an.....what do you think??

:lol::lol:

Oh my God...

Are you a Christian?

God knows how many times this '6 million sh!t' have been debunked. This is sooooooo amusing to see insecure Christians (or bhartis?) posting SAME link that has been debunked again and again and again all over the internet. So let me break it down for you , my little insecure Christian/Bharti friend...

This number of "6 million" was quoted by a random dawah guy demanding funds for dawah. It is from an interview on Al Jazeera. The guy was "Oh my God , oh my god...we need to do dawah..Arabs(governments) don't even provide funds blah blah blah" .. Do you REALLY think that the number he randomly quoted stands ANY credibility...and guess what? This interview was done in 2003! Insecure Christians went all gaga over it and talked about it again and again... Now we know that there is NO such statistics. Muslims in Africa are stable. They convert Christians to Islam ...some Christian convert Muslims to Christianity..but overall..its the same status as before... Here is the link of detailed study done by PEW forums on Islam and Christianity on Africa ..

Resources on Islam and Christianity in Sub-Saharan Africa - Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life

Its funny to see how Christian bharti cry babies post links that are based on the random rant of one random guy demanding funds for dawah---while the same Christian bhartis ignore all the solid statistical data that put their claim to shame ...

On topic : ... Well Islam is the fastest growing *major* religion of 20th century. In 1910 , Muslims made up 12% of the global population and Christians made up 35% of global population. Today , Islam is practiced by 25% of global population while Christianity is practiced (nominally) by 32% of population..Uhh see any trend there? :azn: See the results of detailed study done on this issue...

http://www.atlasofglobalchristianity.org/images/samplepages_3.pdf

Now people , who are dumb enough to have never studied religious demographics or taken secular religious studies , will comment like dumbos "Hey Hey , its all because of population" ... Well duhh , the "primary" growth of EVERY religion is through population growth...so whats the point? Secondary growth is from conversions and Islam DOES show GREAT progress in this regard. How about this report?

100,000 Brits converted to Islam in last 10 years ... Majority of them were women ..who were university graduates mostly and they converted after a 'detailed' period of study of the religion (Islam) ... So?

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/the-islamification-of-britain-record-numbers-embrace-muslim-faith-2175178.html

This is a report on Muslim converts in Germany ..Remember , all these reports I'm posting are "credible" non-Muslim secular reports and not stupidities from religious propaganda websites (Like my little insecure Christian/bharti friends post) ..

Muslim Converts in Germany: Angst-Ridden Germans Look for Answers -- And Find Them in the Koran - SPIEGEL ONLINE

From the article :
The number of Germans who have converted to Islam has increased fourfold within one year -- despite the negative perception of Islam among the general public.

Plus : This is in just "nominal" terms ... In actual terms ... Islam is already the LARGEST *practiced* faith on the planet and hence most "influential" faith on mankind! ... Unlike Westerners , where Christianity is practically a dead religion , Islam is a lively religion and plays central role in life...even in the hyper-secular countries like Turkey etc ...

Someone told me that MORE Turks go to Mosques as compared with number of "Islamic" Pakistanis going to mosque :cheesy:

I'm out.

I read it a long time ago, so dont remember everything. But I do believe the guy( i mean the iranian dude) talks from his heart, he is not there to troll.
Also I liked some of the debates he had with muslim clerics / muslim visitors to his site ( the same arguments are repeated by muslim everywhere, so once you read that you will know many are false arguments)
As I dont know much about islam(theology) I wont trust the cross reference to verses(of both sides pro and anti) only a practicing muslim with access to a quran and other sources will be able to see for himself who is right and who is not.

Islam make it compulsory for Muslims to seek religious as well as secular education so i dont know why a Muslim who is good in fiqh(slamic jurisprudence) cannot be good in maths and physics
