Usually they slow at the end of exercise to fly and check out each other rides

Seen paf guys in Chinese SU and j-xx plus Saudi and USAF f-15s

Met some who did Saudi f-15, usn f-14 and Chinese su-27

Might even get worked into the JF-17 Block 3. Application of RAM, some structural changes, improvements to EW equipment, lower IR signature engine Nozzle. We can’t wait till the Block 4 to be ready to deal with the Rafale. Block 3 needs to custom tailored from day one to be able to tackle the Rafale head on.

It’s the small things that can make a huge difference. Kinematically, the JF-17 with its current engine may not be able to adequately deal with the Rafale close in, but further out a lot has to do with sensors, EW, weapon’s envelopes, and data sharing between platforms and C4ISR.

it’s possible there may not be a Block 4, and the PAF moves on to a clean sheet design or buys the final export version of the FC-31/J-31/J-35. Hence why the Block 3 needs to be tailor made to be able to deal with the final configuration Indian Rafale, at least with the right weapons and tactics. If we get an export version Chinese 5th Gen platform the US may sell the F-35 to India. Best to avoid the F-35 being introduced into the region, at least until the PAF can acquire the means to counter it with a mature J-31 or Project AZM.

PAF pilots went to france as contracted officers of Qatari Air Force to train on the rafales. I've been saying it for the longest time, rafales are not a big challenge for us.

Agreed, but I really don't think USA would sell F22 or F35 to India. It has not even sold these in enough numbers to its close allies.
