Woman gangraped by 5 persons in MP; BJP man among those accused

A 22-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by five persons, including a BJP corporator, near Dang Karera village in Madhya Pradesh, police said.

The accused, who were carrying weapons, raped the woman when she was returning from Shersha village along with her brother in-law on Monday night, an officer from Jigna Police Station said.

The victim told the police that the accused stopped the two of them, attacked her brother-in-law and then raped her.

The victim has been sent for medical examination.

The accused include a BJP corporator of Datia Municipal Council, police said without divulging any further details.

Not a trolling effort but whats with Gang rape by Indian men?? I mean rape happen everywhere in the world.. But gang rape seems to be a frequent occurrence in India.. Why??

the "rape culture" in india is grossly exaggerated by the indian media, the reality is, statistically, india is average. but i am not complaining since this sensationalism helps improve our society. If rape culture is prevelant anywhere, its pakistan since 99.9% rape cases are not reported due to Hudood Ordinance

You completely missed the point.. As I said rapes happen every where not just India.. Probably places in Africa and the middle east.. there would be more But India reports a high frequency of gang rapes.. Why is that?? There must be a sociological reason for it ..
