Will Vietnam Be America’s Next Strategic Partner?

Wow, look who kept begging for even Soviet troops during CN civil war bcs they only had stones to throw at the enemies and the troops are too dumb to fight in the real war

------------

What did the Soviet Union do to help? First, it provided the means of transportation that allowed for a speedy invasion. In late September 1949, Mao issued a desperate plea for assistance to Stalin: “the railroads in this region are poor, the conditions difficult, there are few people, and there is no food,” he wrote. “We acutely need and hope that you will help us with 30-50 transport aircraft to ship food, clothing, key personnel, and some of the troops.”

What if such assistance was not forthcoming? Mao warned that he would have to delay his invasion until March-April 1950. “This would be detrimental to the solution of the Xinjiang problem.” Stalin agreed. He volunteered the requested airplanes.

Second, the Soviet Union provided other supplies that were crucial to the PLA’s invasion. After Stalin loaned the aircraft, Mao asked for aviation fuel. “We are encountering great difficulty in this matter.” Once again, Stalin pledged his support.

Can you explain to me what has Soviet Union helping China got to do with Vietnam begging China? Lolol. Nobody is denying they helped us man, but you seems to be denying we helped you win the war. Lol

What's with your military begging for our vaccines? Are you guys so. Poor taht you begged everyone.

.
Juts relax, VN has gone through many hard-bloody times in the history already, the only thing that always keep us survive is that we are always smarter and fighting better than any enemies we faced with.

So, let it be, just make a strategic partner with US (we don't even have to bow down and beg for frienship like Deng did to US in 1979 ), let them built the most expensive embassy in Ha Noi , in return, we can export more to EU-US without 25% tariff like CN ::bunny:
Vietnam is strong because we rely on ourselves and we don't seek meaningless fights. When Le Loi won against Ming dynasty, he immediately opened diplomacy for peace, same for Tran dynasty even when they won against the mongols 3 times.
Look at Japan, used to be land of samurai, now just US puppets, paying protection money every years. When you quote history to boost your present, I know we are fucked.

how many times do i have to explain again and again ?? We didnt ask help from CN.

we asked help from Soviet first, then Stalin told Mao to support VN. Bcs Mao owed Soviet a big debt after CN civil war, so Mao had to do what Stalin told Mao to do to pay back the debt.

In January 1950, Moscow belatedly recognised Ho Chi Minh and the Viet Minh as the ‘official’ rulers of Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh journeyed to Moscow and sought Soviet military backing for his war of independence against the French. Stalin, whose attentions were concentrated on Europe, rejected his overtures. Instead, Stalin encouraged his communist ally, Mao Zedong, to support the Viet Minh.

Tran dynasty started invading Champa, which is the central of VN now, when Mongol and CN were busy fighting each other if u forgot. Before it, we could not invade Champa bcs they got CN's protection.

SO, the collapse of CN actually help VN expand to the South till Ca Mau cape until we were stopped by the sea :8-)

The annexation of Champa was around the Le dynasty actually, that time Champa actually petitioned the Ming for aid, but they couldn't do anything because:
1. Le dynasty maintains neutrality to Ming.
2. Le dynasty is strong in army and people, Ming sees no benefits in protecting Champa.

Meanwhile, Champa, because they too believe in the Ming helping them, got absorbed in Vietnam.
This lesson taught us that it is wise diplomacy and self-reliance that give Vietnam success. When you let US troops in to "protect" you, you are just repeating the lesson of Champa, except this time you are the Champa.

.
Greedy and stupid. If Vietnamese are like this now, we can prepare to deal with Vietnamese refugees in advance.

We annexed some of Champa's lands ( two provinces O and Ly) during Tran dynasty when CN-Mongol were busy fighting each other

The Vietnam–Chiem War (1367–1396) was a war between Dai Viet in the late Tran Dynasty and Champa Kingdom led by Che Bong Nga (1360–1390). In the 1330s, Dai Viet and the Khmer Empire became weakened by climate change, widespread disease, and widespread famine, contributing to the revival of Champa in the 14th century.[2] In 1360, Che Bong Nga, the son of King Che Anan, ascended the throne, unified the Cham people, and asked Tran Du Tong to return the two provinces O and Ly (present-day Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue) in 1367.

Maybe you should read that part carefully.
Champa was only stabilized and fully annexed in the Le dynasty.

Jesus, with historian like you guys, maybe I should pack my bags and go to China.

Many rich Cnese are fleeing to VN to avoid trade war instead

Those companies that plan to move production out of China to avoid US tariffs and preserve their US business face a particularly delicate balancing act.

Manufacturing exporters that are thinking of relocating face more difficulties and higher costs than those that already moved out over the past two years, so many of them are not willing to speak out,” said Liu Kaiming, head of the Shenzhen-based Institute of Contemporary Observation, which monitors working conditions for hundreds of Chinese contract manufacturers

“But what Trump is doing now is making everyone panic, especially the smaller firms,” Zhou added.

Companies are also fearful of growing hostility from local governments in China, should they announce their plans to relocate. Officials do not want to lose the tax revenue, nor the employment the factories bring to local communities

Vietnam wanna play a lil game of superpower like in Laos & cambodia ,Vietnam is like wannabe superpower that has periodically needed spanking from their neighbouhood big elder and it inherits a childish geopolitical agenda.Vietnam occupies majority of islands in south china sea out of their EEZ,this nation actually think it can have its way in SEA in absence of Chinese dominance.

And? Did Tran dynasty actually succeed in doing the act? Nope, in fact, after the trouble, both Ming chinese and Champa come back even stronger and invade and occupy Vietnam.
Meanwhile, while Ming is in place, the Le dynasty was actually successful in annexing Champa. So turns out your reliance on chaos strategy was a big failure, but smart diplomacy succeeds.

Please don't mistake CPV with some deranged viet posters on PDF.
This is why censorship is good, it weeds out the stupid.

The world is cruel, if u dont annex the others, then they will annex u. Just like we attacked and occupied Cambodia 10 years, but finally we still have to withdraw bcs we can't fight against both US-CN at that time. But it doesn't mean we should stop trying to keep expanding.

What happen if both US-CN attack and sanction VN again ?? we will be in big trouble bcs we are still too small. SO what should we do ?? We should keep taking advantage from US-CN conflict to keep expanding like Tran and Le dynasty did.

CNese have Ah Q's spirit (love bullying the weaker when bowing down the the stronger), thats why CN will be executed by the stronger again and again

---------------

The story traces the "adventures" of Ah Q, a man from the rural peasant class with little education and no definite occupation. Ah Q is famous for "spiritual victories", Lu Xun's euphemism for self-talk and self-deception even when faced with extreme defeat or humiliation. Ah Q is a bully to the less fortunate but fearful of those who are above him in rank, strength, or power. He persuades himself mentally that he is spiritually "superior" to his oppressors even as he succumbs to their tyranny and suppression. Lu Xun exposes Ah Q's extreme faults as symptomatic of the Chinese national character of his time. The ending of the piece is equally poignant and satirical.

Except Tran dynasty did try to expand under chaos and got invaded and occupied, you freaking moron.
The Le dynasty maintained a neutral relationship with China, thus prompting China to not opening another front.
The idea of big and small have never mattered in warfare and diplomacy, by inviting the US here, you are not expanding shit, you are just painting a big red mark on your back.
I think you are a CIA agent trying to stir shit up. You are following 100% of chinese narrative when it comes to our wars.
