Will the Aircraft Carrier Survive?

Numbers don't matter much in modern warfare. Technology counts. 1 Type 052D can sink every Taiwanese warship pretty easily.

And i am not talking about Taiwan but pacific ocean, you are strongest in SCS but in open waters of Pacific ocean you become more vulnerable than other navies in the pacific

China don't care about Pacific ocean. Chinese are pretty short sighted when it comes to geography. They only care about Yellow Sea, western part of East China Sea. northern part of South China Sea near the coast.

So why you developing carriers then?? for guiding these seas your destroyers and frigates are enough lol

Carriers are warships. Due to curvature of Earth, destroyers cannot engage targets beyond 500 km. Carriers can carry AWACs and launch planes that can strike thousands of km. China is building 10 carriers by 2030.

LOL again lame logics, you have shore base AWACS, few destroyers and Frigates can cover vast swath of the seas, KJ2000 AWACS and other shore based AWACsS can cover this limitations, lol again lame logics

Carriers are good against destroyers. Destroyers can only hit 500 km. Carriers can hit thousands of km. Also, carriers provide a lot of employment. Each carrier has a crew of thousands. Destroyers only have a crew of a few hundred.

LOl and as you said you need to defend you seas that's mean you have to defend hundreds of km you have enough destroyers and frigates to defend your seas, the main purpose of developing the carriers to secure your interests and assets in Indo pacific regions like Pakistan and in African countries lol you knows nothing what you're talking about lol

The aircraft carrier is only relevant till it is actually destroyed with relative ease especially when in a CBG. There are a range of weapons to that effect but none offer plausible deniability i.e. war will most definitely breakout if a country employs such AA/AD weapons.

However, in the (very near) future, I believe we will start seeing loitering sea munitions or smart mines that will be coupled with highly advance AI technologies. These would also be highly resistant to corrosion and passively floating in the sea or anchored to a certain depth only to be released when target is in range. They would be hard to detect and evade. These would fall under the Internet of Military Things (IoMT) that would be highly passive in nature and activated in ways that would be hard to control.

The AI component would be able to identify the target using multiple detection sources including built-in sensors.

This age is no longer about launch and delivery platforms but more about munitions and their miniaturisation, lethality, automation, and intelligence integration.
