Bring back looted money.
Just punish those who looted it bringing it back os problematic as western nations are in no mood of surrendering billions and they will use jamhori manjan to avoid that

.

Anchors are definitely hinting at nro.And it makes sense since no corrupt in pakistan remains in jail especially a person like nawaz.what are your thoughts

Bring back looted money.

Patience! It's not a walk in the park to take money back from other States unless one has serious leverage over them.

NAYA -PAKISTAN-- same NRO,S

rumours-of-new-nro-continue-to-circulate-1540590298-3061.jpg

Silence speaks, as news of another possible NRO are being circulated in the power corridors ofIslamabad. Even though all stakeholders have clearly said officially that an NRO is neither demanded, nor is anyone willing to give one, the off the record conversation of some members of PML-N and PTI in parliament and other places negates this claim.

There seems to be some breakthrough in the fate of the Sharifs via backdoor diplomacy. A close aide to the prime minister said on the promise of anonymity that some “understanding has taken place”. And it seems like apparently PTI is on board.

“There was a general consensus that you cannot keep Nawaz Sharif alone in jail for a longer period of time. Even though his exit from jail is a result of High Court’s order, yet the consequent silence on the part of Nawaz Sharif and the mute twitter handle of Maryam Nawaz Sharif speaks volumes that there is something fishy,” the aide said.

@Baghial

You're getting worked up over a report that is barely a paragraph that is offering little more than speculation and gossip.

Musharraf had a need for the NRO - to try and legitimize his rule as President and control the protest movement against him being led by the lawyers etc.

What exactly is the motive/incentive for Imran Khan to offer the Sharif's or Zardari's an NRO along the same lines as Musharraf? What benefits does the PTI get from offering an NRO to NS and/or Zardari?

The basic question is "HOW CAN IK strike a deal" ? when NZ is convicted by court ? It means courts are puppet working on someone else orders...

.
Agreed. Nothing should be ruled out as long as it is good for the country. If he -

  • returns money
  • accepts he looted it publicly

Give NRO !
Well it's not quite an NRO then, at least not one along the lines of the Musharraf NRO. If some sort of agreement is reached with the Sharif's about returning money, it's likely also going to be accompanied with an end to their involvement in politics.

First, no deal has been struck yet, so let's not get worked up over a hypothetical NRO.

Second, even if a 'deal' is struck, it will have to go through the proper channels, which is likely going to be that the GoP will present the deal in front of the courts and ask them to commute Sharif's jail sentence in exchange for return of illegal wealth, end to involvement in politics etc etc. Accusing the courts of being 'puppets' when there are absolutely no facts available to support this 'NRO' is irresponsible.

Finally, I'll repeat my previous question, what benefit does the PTI get from giving Sharif/Zardari an 'NRO/amnesty'? Are they going to return ill gotten wealth, publicly accept their guilt and leave politics forever? The PTI does not need the Sharif's or Zardari like Musharraf did.

I agreed..There is no NRO...

rich man wins

and saadi awaam thinks that if a deal/ nro/or a dheel is granted to nawaz / zardari/ - it will be a live telecast on PTV--?

all its details will be published in every news paper?

yes nawaz is convicted in courts----------- just for public consumption

and he will be granted leave on medical grounds to leave country/ for political gains of PTI.

but nawaz will never give a dime in fines imposed in verdict---

that would mean- he admitted his crimes---------- that won,t be happning guys---

he would prefer to die---- then the family future being blimished forever

that would be a dead end -

The PTI gained nothing. The public accounts committee, in my view, should be headed by the opposition, since it's primary role is to review the government's performance in certain areas. The PTI has set a good example in allowing the opposition to chair the PAC.

Political considerations should not interfere with the provision of justice.
I agree - I'm just asking those accusing the PTI of 'granting an NRO' to Nawaz Sharif as to what the motives would be here.

I can understand the government offering a form of 'plea bargain' to recover ill gotten wealth and obtain an admission of guilt (ostensibly a lifetime ban in politics would also be part of this) in exchange for a 'pardon' or recommendation to the courts that his sentence be commuted. White collar crimes are notoriously hard to prosecute successfully after all, especial in countries like Pakistan.
