Raymond Davis cannot be compared to the NRO or to Nawaz Sharif's current incarceration. There were unique circumstances behind the release of Raymond Davis just as there were unique circumstances related to the NRO.

Neither the Raymond Davis release nor the NRO are comparable to the current situation of Nawaz Sharif's incarceration. The PTI and military have no benefit in releasing Nawaz Sharif now unless it's part of an agreement under which a good chunk of the wealth alleged to have been illegally obtained is returned to Pakistan and NS accepts his guilt and remains barred from politics for the rest of his life.

NRO was just a symbol what happens between the establishment and the political players they once establishment has created just like PTI?
SORRY its not a perfect world nor Pakistan has a Westminster type democracy ?
Biggest political power in Pakistan is still is its millitary establishment so anytime they feel that thier pupet political dolls are not dancing on their tunes then thy bring whatever, who ever politcal babaies they can find or even if, they hve to create a New ones just like PSP for some impact or the Q League, or even nawaz league in late 80s & early 90s then chief of army staff and ISI CHIEF so, NRO can take any shape at anytime and it will be wise decision to let NAWAZ go out of Pakistan and live a unpolitical peaceful life but for that he has to pay some price which can boost the already dead economy
