Will Mumbai finally surpass Shanghai this year?

Now let me ask you, judging by your criteria, when will Mumbai surpass Shanghai?

According to me, Mumbai is much ahead of Shanghai already. Mumbai has a very very big heart and it can accommodate very poors to someone like Ambani. You can have a breakfast in 15 cent. You can travel 10 KM in 10 cent. You can find some work for you and you can live a dignified life. If you are a poor, you will not be treated badly. All your basic needs is take care except Housing because it has very limited space. Slums are converted to multi story building at a very rapid rate and your hut is exchanged for a well build house in a high rise. city do not let you down because of your poverty. Had we been a system like china and if we can remove those slums by force and build something valuable there, city may look much better but we are a democracy and we have to take care of our last person. our city is build on the blessings and not on the curse of people. We have not demolished the houses of people to build the bridges and skyscrapers. We have developed under many constraints. Shanghai just can not match Mumbai any day.

Your pictures above are more likely to be from Bombay. It's because of ancient Indians already created warp drives for space travel. The Vulcan Mr Spock attended ancient Indian university to learn how to align dilithium crystals for warp engine.

Where are you now. Post another picture of Bombay to see how developed it is. But make sure that the pic does not have Empire State or Freedom Tower. Crop out those buildings first.
