don't matter. i'm curious as to the timing of this as well as the interpretation. seems like it exposes nothing about north korea itself and everything about our own government. very suspicious. we need to get some russian and american advisers on how to organize a secret police for this crap.

the union of korea must be prevented at all costs. remember the lesson of vietnam and japan. it is in our best interests to keep neighboring states as weak and divided as possible. with the exception of russia and pakistan, every united country on our border is a security threat and allied to the US. it was a costly mistake to not insert our agents into north korea during the 70's, while simultaneously destabilizing south korea at the time. we could've kept them both as banana republics.

It is not that China wants to play the Imperial game, but contingent situation forces us to do so. Remember Vietnam? imperial games backfire when they're wrong. the US played with fire too many times and got bit back by bin laden. we were only bitten back when we were honest and nice - look what happened in vietnam. we gave up japan's reparations in WW2, did they thank us?

Thirty years too late. China has had a market economy since 1978.

Our system is officially called a "Socialist market economy" (or Socialism with Chinese characteristics).

International media (such as the Economist) tend to refer to our system as "State capitalism".

目前毛子的战略重心仍然在欧洲，并且以他们现在的国力很难维持自己在东北亚的军事存在。如果我们不主动惹他们，他们也不会来惹我们。其实我们的综合国力可能已经超过了毛子的，他们对此也心知肚明，所以最近10年对我们的要求基本上没有提出过抗议。

朝鲜再怎么坏总比韩国棒子强。可别忘了，韩国说整个东北都是他们的领土呢。朝鲜半岛的统一对我国非常不利。

by definition north korea is not a socialist/communist country.

1.) it does not have a communist party - every other communist country is ruled by a communist party.
2.) the WORKER's PARTY holds a meeting once every 30 years - in no communist country is the party so powerless.
3.) it has a hereditary form of succession - no communist country does this. only military dictatorships in africa (and republic of china) do this. we use the sophisticated election mechanism instead.
4.) there is arbitrary application of laws - nowhere is justice fair, but only in north korea and saudi arabia is it so unfair.
5.) there are little-no social services avaliable - obvious.

north korea represents the future of saudi arabia when it runs out of oil. it is nothing like even the soviet union, much less us.
